At least he's being honest about ceding total control over the oligarchs. And as the article suggests, yeah...nothing bad has ever happened in company towns with company stores like ever.
You load 16 tons, what do you get?
Another day older and deeper in debt
St. Peter don't you call me, 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store

And the fiefdoms are back! Since this was Blockchain LLCs’ idea, it can’t possibly be good for the country at large. Sounds like another “tech” meglomaniac wanting his own kingdom. I’m all for his Opcot, but that can easily be accomplished without letting him/them create their own country. This sounds like the beginnigs of yet another bad idea.

This time around the people get what they deserve.
I have little sympathy for people who make major commitments without being aware of history.

"This proposal is an exciting, unprecedented concept that has a potential to position Nevada as a global center of advanced technology and innovation..."

This is the way it was for centuries where small villages and sites would have their own council to manage their local issues.
What could possibly go wrong and if you are going to do it, do it 100%. Make them like reservations. I don't want my dollars going to help or fund anyone who wants this shit.

I don't know, sounds treasonous and unconstitutional to me.

"As we've learned in the past, an emergency requires us to throw out the tried-and-true, discard the 'How We've Always Done It' manual and move on."
A variation on "never let a good crisis go to waste".
Love the " inclusiveness "
- "we've", "us" "We've" - who the fuck is this "we", motherfucker?
Straight up fascism...well maybe a bit more juice on the corporate side - trending towards pure corporatism. But any "corporate entity" that treads in Sisolak's patch will not be around for long.
And, as I'm sure everyone here knows, the Cock-Eater is a DemonRat.
ETA - Imagine a "county" governed by the troika of Zuckerturd, Bozos and Jagoff "I Look Homeless As A Fashion Statement" Dorsey.

Reminds of most of the dystopian movies of the 80's and 90's.
