There has been proposed legislation in the past reflective of your prediction, and IIRC there are limitations of some sort in the NYC, but not that extreme...please don't give the dysfunctional democrats controlling all three levers of Power in the State ideas...they might just enact them.

More and more, keeping guns away from all, except burglars is the trend.

The second Unsafe act actually made the handgun unattended in vehicle a requirement (unloaded, hard shell lockbox, glove box not allowed; disclaimer, this is paraphrased but the law is online). In that act there was a very general storage requirement. The latest has made more restrictions.

Was it not Westchester county where after having a certain numbers of handguns one had to have a gun safe ? A LEO would actually need to see the safe . Not open but see the safe before a judge would approve another purchase of an additional handgun ?
