Well here comes the NRA...maybe they needed a little more time than GOA to consult their lawyers, maybe conduct a poll or two, check on some donors, etc....

NRA slams Democratic governor's gun order, issues harsh advice

The NRA issued an exclusive response to Fox News Digital slamming New Mexico Democratic Gov. Lujan Grisham for temporarily suspending open and concealed carry across Albuquerque.
www.foxnews.com www.foxnews.com

They do make a point.
The New Mexico Bill of Rights guarantees the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, and all other lawful purposes. Under the New Mexico Civil Rights Act, signed into law by @GovMLG, a person whose rights under the Bill of Rights are violated may sue to recover for damages and obtain injunctive relief.
Damages may be awarded up to $2 million per person whose rights were violated.

Lets do some quick math here. $2 million per citizen times 2,110,001 New Mexicans = she is out of a job!

Why stop there. Let's suspend the 4th amendment too, we can stop/frisk everyone on the streets, and let's do a daily door to door search of everyone's homes. Might as well suspend the 5th too, answer the question slave!

Remember that bombing at the Boston Marathon years back? Yea, the Po-Po suspended/ignored Citizen's Rights for a witch hunt... do you not remember the video footage of "Law Enforcement" riding down neighborhood streets pointing emplacement weapons at any who dare lift their eyes? Demanding entry for search without warrant, reasonable suspicion, or probable cause? Not the first infringement, not likely the last.

New Mexico governor issues order suspending the right to carry firearms in public across Albuquerque

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has issued an emergency public health order temporarily suspending the right to carry firearms in public across Albuquerque and surrounding Bernalillo County.
apnews.com apnews.com

Miranda Viscoli, co-president of New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence, applauded the governor’s order as a courageous and necessary step to curbing gun violence, even if the measure’s legal fate is uncertain.

“If it saves one life, then it’s worth doing,” Viscoli said.

“Son- that’s just not smart. That’s like spending a dollar to save a dime.” -My Dad

How ‘bout “If it saves one life, it’s a beginning. If it saves a hundred, it’s worthwhile. If it saves a thousand, it’s progress. If it diminishes, ruins or ends another life, it’s all just ideological, self-serving fallacy.”

At a certain point, we have to question the validity of such decrees and question what the response should be by the people. That's the nicest way I can put it.

The lesson from Jan 6th is:

If you're not prepared to go all the way, don't go at all.

The PS is, if you *are* going all the way, there is no point in slowly escalating.

I get what your saying.

It's an unprovable supposition and arbitrary quantity made up in their heads.

They say "if this ban saves one life it's worth it", so I say, "not banning guns will save 5 lives", so why wouldn't my position not be more worth it? Hard to prove either, but my position has a better chance of being backed up.

This thread touches on just that.

Massive errors in FBI active shooting reports

New Mexico's lawless Governor Michelle Grisham has gone rogue. She should be held accountable for her actions for clearly and blatantly overstepping her authority.

The same thing with New York's lawless Governor Kathy Hochul. When it comes to the SCOTUS Bruen decision. She clearly went rogue and proceeded to spit in the SCOTUS judge's faces and then gave them the middle finger. She then took a shit on our constitutional rights with no fucks given and here we are with the CCIA.

During the peak of the covid hysteria. Michigan's lawless Governor Gretchen Whitmer went completely rogue and even made New York's Governor Andrew Cuomo look like a complete amateur when it comes to violating people's constitutional rights.

Those three anti-freedom political fucking whores need to be knocked off their commie thrones.

All three of those state governors are acting in a lawless manner and have gone rogue.
During normal times those three mental cases would be treading into dangerous territory.
But unfortunately, we are no longer living in normal times.

If they don’t make an example of this POS leftist governor, it will only embolden others of her ilk to do similar unconstitutional acts.

Just posted a Glen Beck interview. It will keep you awake at night. As everything is monitored on this forum by outside entities ... a reply is not needed

I wonder how many feds are in the crowd taking videos and pictures for future arrests based on unlawful assembly, or whatever they can cum up with.

I remember it vividly. Watching the videos of SWAT going door to door forcing people out of their homes to search for a couple jackwagons was appalling.

I don't trust Elon Musk.

Remember when Musky boy said this: The billionaire then told the outlet that he supports “tight background checks” for all gun sales and limiting sales of assault weapons to people in special circumstances, like gun range owners, or people who live in a “high risk location, like gang warfare.”

"Assault rifles should at minimum require a special permit, where the recipient is extremely well vetted imo," he said on Twitter, responding to a question from a user.

Musk himself has stated in recent years that his political views have shifted from far left to maybe just right of center. Im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt based on what I've seen from him in recent times.

Did you ever stop to wonder WHY for centuries, and still to this day in many Countries that women were prohibited in politics and overall leadership?
Hochul is likely waiting to play that card, but IF it flies in NM, then NY/NYC will be a push over.
