I am sure someone else has already posted about this but I was just at Gander Outdoors in Cicero, NY and their gun and ammo shelves were completely stripped. There was no sign or explanation. annoyed because I drove quite a bit only to find out that there is no more ammo. I'm at a loss as to where to find ammo in central New York that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

Does anyone know of some places in Onondaga or Madison county where the ammo is moderately priced.

Gander Outdoors is now wholly owned by Camping World.

Camping World's CEO, Mark Lemonis, he is a HUGE DOUCHE BAG and major league asshole, who has a severe case of TDS.

There stock has been floating between $30 and $40 dollars for the last year or more ( It was down $1.17 on Friday)

Camping Worlds business practices are "questionable" to say the least. if you try and buy a camper from them, READ THE FINE PRINT, closely. Your $20,000 camper may end up costing you $27,000 when all is said and done. CW has MANY complaints against them and there are more than a few YouTube videos of how they do business.

NOW FOR THE DISCLAIMER: These are only rumors that I have heard of, I have no knowledge or experience with CW. Some people actually love the place. but from what I have read, I would not do business with them, YOUR MILAGE MAY VERY

GOOD LUCK

That's too bad. I remember when Gander put up a billboard in downtown rochester bragging about being the #1 gun retailer in NY. This was shortly after the safe act was passed so I thought that showed a bit of courage in the environment. A big "FU" to cuomo at the time. Sadly it is run by completely different people now.

Bass Pro in Auburn has ammo, and its going for current retail market rate... Not great, but its ammo, and its not being price gouged. Call first to make sure they have the caliber you are looking for.. They had a LOT of hunting.long gun ammo, and store brand 9 mm... some small boxes of .22 as well.. NO .380, and a few oddball handgun calibers behind the counter.

I went to them and what you said is correct. They have a price of say $17,000 on a camper and there are a bunch of bullshit fees it was going to be $20,000-$21,000. We walked away pretty pissed off. They have low quality campers and horrible business practices. I tried to opt out of their harassment emails and phone calls numerous times. By numerous it was 30-40 times and yet they kept on coming.
I do have a gander outdoors by me and I will stop in every now and again because they have wicked sales and I shop those. I am/was a member of the Good Sam thing but I will no longer renew it ever. They pretty much got rid of all stuff I would purchase. They have stripped the fishing, hunting, and guns/knives section in my local store.

almost every camper coming to market is having issues. Even my brand new Escape Pod (ya, we named it the escape pod) has had some minor problems. Like the kitchen faucet spray head would not pull all the way out, when I looked, those morons wrapped the spray hose around the hot water line??? freak'n idiots. The trunk behind the side door had water in it, its the trunk directly below the fresh water tank, the doors to the trunk were a "little off" center, I freaked out, thinking the tank had a leak. I broke out my flash light and went searching for water around the tank, nothing. its dry as a bone. Turns out rain got in through the door gaskets. I re-centered the doors, and now its water tight.

But these are issues that some people are returning to the dealer to fix, and then they bitch it's taking 3 or 4 months to get their RV fixed under warranty? These dealers are billing their time out at $166/hr if you bought from them, or $199/hr if you did not. what rigs do you think they are going to be working on first??

good thing I got tools, LOL i think I pissed of General-RV when I refused their $3000 worth of warranty's they were trying to push. They said things like, if your fridge dies, they will have to pull the wall slide out to replace it. Turns out, if you take the door off, it will fit through the stern emergency exit, LOL
