Great. It would be a shame if all my social media accounts were lost in a tragic boating accident.

You don't even need to be a gun owner to sue for this one.
You could say the law is chilling your speech because you're afraid something you might say will be held against you if you apply for a permit in the future.

9th Circuit Refuses Supreme Court Order To Rehear Open Carry Case!!!
In this video I discuss the 9th Circuit refusing to hear an open carry case despite being order to rehear the case in light of the Supreme Court's NYSRPA v. Bruen decision.

Someone explain to me why the American people should abide any laws if the highest court in the land lays down rulings that are openly defied by states and lower courts.

Just saw this vid. So it seems it was a big mistake for the SC to punt down (or whatever you want to call it) the decision to the lower courts. They are treating the 2A (which is a right) like they did recently with Roe v Wade (abortion is not a right). In this instance they should have done what they originally did with Roe v Wade and made it the law of the land. We are effectively right back where we were where states handle your 2A right differently throughout the country.

They shouldn't. The problem is that at this point in time there is too much to lose with risk of going to jail. After all is said and done that's really what it all boils down to. Enforcement. If there was no risk of going to jail for exercising your second amendment right they could write laws and regs (all unconstitutional based on 2A) all day long and people wouldn't care. Unfortunately, there are far too many that will enforce laws that go against the very thing they swore to uphold and protect.

Doesn't seem that the Bruen or EPA case make a lick of difference. The ATF is just gonna keep doing whatever it damn well pleases.

Just came across this.
It makes zero sense. How is a state law only applicable in NYC?

That makes ZERO sense when it's a STATE law. This is ripe for yet another lawsuit.

This should make the plaintiff an automatic win then. If they refuse to hear it the defense should automatically forfeit.

Yeah except we won’t win that and it will be spread out to the entire state then.

This is fucking confusing to me. The last thread about this, there were contradictions that stated, Monroe county was NOT going to require the training, but then went on to say, but don't sweat it, you'll have 3 years to complete the required training?
So in other words, you don't have to get the training done, but make sure you get that training done because you are required to do it, even though you're not required to get the training in Monroe county, it is required. I think I get it now.

My guess is that's intentional. Intentionally vague to make as many gun owners criminals as possible.
