At no point in the past two years have Americans seen McConnell and other top Republican leaders in Washington pick real and effective fights with the Biden administration. At no point have they managed to focus the nation on controversies that would be politically advantageous to their party. In Trump’s absence, the GOP establishment has reverted to McConnell’s preferred style of opposition, one of passivity and accommodation.

THE BOTTOM LINE! Ballot Harvesting rules the day in the elections lost. The d's have the cities, they can collect more mail in ballots and deliver them to drop off blocks in one building than the r's can in an entire rural town.

It would be a waste of DeSantis.
The VP doesn't do much.
Trump has more fight in him, and we need that.
DeSantis has more political savvy and is much better at pandering to the moderates.
Make no mistake though, the democrats will declare whoever runs the antichrist. You'd think they would go harder against Trump, but they'll already go as hard as they can against DeSantis, so there's no more left to go "harder".
If DeSantis gets the nomination, expect half a dozen manufactured scandals to appear over night. Wonder who they'll accuse him of colluding with, or what nationality the peeing prostitutes will supposedly have.

I also think a big contributing factor to the lack of the red wave. Is Roe vs Wade being overturned. Specifically pointing out. Alot of conservatives. Are not happy with the lack of exceptions like rape, incest, etc, etc. Which brings more people, especially women, to vote against the Republicans. Millennials and the Gen Z crowd. I'm sure came out in droves this time around over that too.
I also wonder. Did most of the Republican candidates. Really make a very strong case for themselves? Their democrat opponent surely supports Biden's failures. Like Afganistan, Southern Border, to name a few. Did they go after their opponent on those issues and more. Got a feeling they didn't.
