@Glock_USA isn't wrong. The fact that Fetterman 'won' in PA, who couldn't do a 1vs1 interview with media on his side but still earned the votes, and the fact that Zeldin was attacked on stage, had a shooting near his house (though un-connected to him as a candidate) and still couldn't win against Hochul... Not sure what to about NYC - it should have been a district similar to Washington DC. People bitch about cost of living there but then don't leave..
Someone said it on page 1 I think, it's all tribal - Democrats will kow tow the party line and vote for whomever their bosses tell them; Republicans are no different. Trump was starting to mix things up with MAGA candidates, but I personally think he went to far with the rhetoric. We all know he's right but there's a time and a place for it.

I am not surprised by the results in NYS. NYS having a Republican Governor for example. Is not going to happen. I am also not surprised about the red wave not happening either. In the House yes, the Senate no.
There seems to be alot of negativity towards Trump. IMO mostly based on his name calling. And i agree. But that's Trump. And he's not going to change. DeSantis is a threat to him. DeSantis seems to be talked about more favorably than Trump. And also has the backing of major GOP donors. They don't want Trump to run. I know this may be off topic here. But come 2024. If, that could be a big if, Trump ends up being the Nominee. I say he will run. He will get my vote. His name calling, etc, etc, i put aside. What he stands for. Is no different than in 2016. That's what most important. We can't have another Demorat President in 2024!

You know why Trump was so popular? Because he could attract people from both sides of the aisle.
He was able to address the financial irresponsibility of our government, as well as the overbearing social oppression being parroted by both sides. He didn't come off like some third-rate crusader demanding everyone bow down to his specific version of sky fairy.
He honestly came off like someone who cared about his country, and the principles it stood for. ALL of those principles.
Desantis can't do that. Fewer Democrats will be willing to cross the aisle for him. Just as fewer Republicans would be willing to cross the aisle for candidates with mental issues, bedroom tactics, or private assassins.
This country needs a real centrist candidate. Not someone right out of a sci-fi socialism wet-dream or a 1700s theocracy.

I think the facts are yes NYC gets a a lot of money but they charge extra taxes for living there such as I think extra county and city taxes equate to 7% more. Also keep in mind a lot of money is spent there on the subways, bridges, and airports. Also a lot of our bills/laws that cost us lots of money come from there. If we didn’t have NYC pushing us left we maybe able to cut out a lot of costs and trim out spending greatly. So while that is fact for now facts can change based on circumstances.

This is already a choice I have settled with. I've made peace with the outcome. If I can't expect a favorable outcome with voting I will choose to live my life as I see fit. We've used up all of the peaceful boxes.

We would be just fine If NY didn't have NYC, we would be much more like states such as Ohio, Wisconsin.
Small to medium cities, suburbs, small towns, former rust belt with traditional blue collar dem influence and lots of agriculture and woodland. We would likely be a purple/red leaning state

Your post is so good more people need to understand what is going to happen. It's why I think ww3 and/or hyper inflation is almost certain.
The USD will be be replaced as the global reserve currency in the not too distant future. The question is if the US government allows it to happen knowing it will lead to hyper inflation and austerity (which clearly the left base won't like Santa Claus telling them no) or they go to war and try to prevent it.
BRICS is very close to already controlling the majority of global resources. It's an utter failure of coherent strategy, vision and leadership that this is occurring and it's all under Bidens watch.
