If they were truly committed to this they would sit down and read the Constitution and The Declaration of Independence, refer to writings by our founding fathers to help clarify points they don't understand, then start revoking laws an regulations enacted in at least the last 75 years that don't measure up. But that would take thoughtful consideration and it's much easier to make more laws that take away the very freedoms that they claim to initiate.
But they don't really mean what they say, just like that liberty stealing bullshit "patriot act" has nothing to do with patriotism. So their "Freedom" unitive will steal our freedom.
Our Freedoms are outlined in the Bill of Rights, your laws take away from those guarntee's.

They intend to fight the 1798 Law on deportation of illegal alien enemies.

The Alien Enemies Act, Explained

Snowflake men........... will order NYSP to shoot Federal BP and ICE personnel, rounding up illegal enemy aliens.

Going to be a good time to watch from the sidelines.

Hochul and Syrup will attempt to stop SCOTUS orders, and try to arrest jail Trump AND SCOTUS.........on disrespect for the NYS Iron Curtain ways.

Gov pritzker said any Feds deporting aliens will have to go thru him, as did NJ gov and Mass Gov................great show coming.

75% of AMERICANS want the illegals deported NOW.......we are a country of laws, NOT FEELINGS........ or we are not...................

NYS politburo is like Saddam near the end.

"Freedom Initiative" Yeah sure, what a bunch of shit that is.

Both Hochul and James have already proven that they're the enemies of freedom.

To make this thread even more of a downer Jumbo James will be NY's next Governor IMO.
I just thought I'd mention it.

Attorney General James and Governor Hochul Commit to Protecting the Fundamental Freedoms of All New Yorkers as President-Elect Trump Prepares to Take Office

Sigh...what bullshitery are we in store for now?

TL;DR version.

- Strengthening Legal Partnership To Prepare for Federal Legal Threats
During President-elect Trump's first term, the State of New York and its residents found itself targeted by the Trump Administration and federal agencies, forcing the State to respond with affirmative and defensive litigation against the federal government and federal agencies.

- Convening the Empire State Freedom Initiative To Address Policy and Regulatory Threats
Governor Hochul has convened the Empire State Freedom Initiative – a team of experts from within her administration to develop strategies for protecting New Yorkers from a variety of policy and regulatory threats that could emerge under President-elect Trump

- Protecting Access to Abortion in New York
Following significant efforts by the Governor and the Attorney General to ensure that Proposition 1 was included as a New York State ballot measure for the 2024 Elections

- Advancing Climate Goals and Reducing Emissions
As Co-Chair of the U.S. Climate Alliance, Governor Hochul will work with the Alliance’s bipartisan coalition of 24 governors – representing about 60 percent of the nation’s economy – to continue promoting a net-zero future by advancing state-led, high-impact climate action.

- Continuing To Get Illegal Guns Off Our Streets
To continue New York’s nation-leading work to reduce gun violence, and in preparation for any threat to gun safety laws,

Whatever they do, New Yorker's will be forced to pay for it as the Trump administration will not fund it. Nor should they. Massachusetts said they were going to protect illegal immigration. Fine. Pull all Federal funding from that state. Make the good citizens of Mass. fund it themselves. I can't think of no better way than to force the "Not in my backyard progressives" to walk the talk.

The same should happen to NY. Let us see how long the state legislators and governor politically survive that. Pull all funding that involves any chance of that the money being directed to policies that conflict with the election mandate. Have Trumps AG file suit if other funds are redirected.

Other states should not be required to fund experiments in NY or other left-wing states. Let NY tax payers take on the burden. Let Albany raise taxes. That will ensure that the next two election cycles correct the madness here in NY. :flag:

A 15% higher turnout would have done it.

You can have 150% turnout.
Until there is a way to audit the election in NY it won't matter.

When I voted I didn't even get a receipt that showed how my votes were tabulated. For all I know they were immediately switched to Brandon's cum-sock and all I get is a quick graphic saying "Thanks for voting!".

I've said the same for quite some time. Many don't know that SNAP (foodstamps) is a FEDERAL program funded thru the USDA to the states who then distribute the funds. One month, just one month with all the people raising hell and just pushing full shopping carts out the door without paying, that's all it would take! I'm sure hippo james would file some kind of lawsuit but so what?

This is true, and I sincerely wish we could go back to those devices.

Or to a device that utilizes open-source software and whose accuracy can be questioned by any citizen and the device audited. Shouldn't be hard to write an OS that photo-scans the ballot (or records what button is pressed at the time of voting), adds on what tally was modified with the new vote, and retains that information in more than one secure database.

I get it but the problem with your comment is it can be inferred as a passive defending of those that didn't vote. Pure defeatist. I doubt you meant it that way.

No, I'm not defending those who don't vote. While it IS their choice, I feel people should really be involved in the running of their own government.

I just really feel that it would have been moot if every >18 person voted in this state. It's beyond coincidental that every time Republicans get their base to get off their asses the Democrats miraculously manage to pull a hat out of a rabbit and keep control.
