I once threatened to shoot a detective on a scene I was on. Had a DOA and he shows up. Pittie was scared shitless since her human was dead and a bunch of strangers in her house. He goes "I'll shoot that dog." I immediately replied "Not if I shoot you first. Better idea, get the fuck off my scene". Wound up wrasslin the pup into a collar and leash to take to an animal hospital. She was perfectly fine just scared.

That's largely why good towns have good cops,a and shitty cities have shitty cops.

That and the burnout the few good cops in a shitty city will get dealing with the shitty residents.


The answer is to remove the shitty residents long term.

The problem is that the leftists in charge have installed a revolving door in those cities to guarantee no amount of policing can remove the proven scumbags.

It's also complicated by the fact that we have far too many and far too vague laws.
