My thoughts .... The story isn't true, but neither is the bullshit this partisan hack has spewed on others. Payback is a bitch.
Some of the reasons I don't think it's true is 1) I don't think either of his daughters (Tabitha or Hannah) went to or would even apply to Stanford (more of the spoiled liberal NYU types), 2) I don't think any judge is in a position to order a payback without charges and charges would never be raised on any entitled professional congressional liar and 3) I'd imagine he is a true demoncrat and more likely be knee deep in a Maryland based Leaning Center kind of operation or some Climate Advisory Bullshit or some Angel Investing Scheme ....
