So, RFK did say this (as opposed to never).

AND RFK still has a valid point in that BLACKROCK

controls over 25 million shares of Tyson AND

Controls 1.8 Billion Reais (over a third of a Billion in US dollars) of JBS Foods
AND

Controls 24 Million shares of Marfig Foods

That's 3 out of the 4 largest

I have acknowledged I was wrong and RFK Jr. was stupid enough to say that.

But as I posted above the BlackRock stakes in all 3 of those packers amount to (1) insignificant percentages in Marfrig and JBS and (2) although a larger stake in Tyson, that is a non-influential stake as control of Tyson is through a special class of voting shares owned by the Tyson family. So BlackRock has zero control over any of those companies regardless of the $$$ amount of shares owned. In fact as to Tyson BlackRock has filed SEC paperwork which would make it a crime for BlackRock to try and influence control of Tyson.

Considering that BlackRock has $14 trillion in assets under management, it's not surprising to find the own between 2-9% of any publicly listed company in America.

The point being it's stupid or even reckless for RFK Jr. to point at BlackRock as being the bad guy responsible for beef price increases, they are not the boogeyman here. That's the kind of crap the Biden administration liked to say to deflect from much more difficult but equally real issues.

Maybe I need to brush up on my Calvin Coolidge history. I always remember him being a bad president, but reading that quote makes me think otherwise.

If factual, interesting enough that would have been said proceeding FDRs new deal and that bloated gov control and influence over every day America so it's curious to say the least.

It has me thinking and I may need to revisit this to better appreciate it now.
