Keep seeing crap like this so I did a quick Brave search:
"Federal law strictly prohibits foreign nationals from making any contributions or donations of money or things of value to candidates for federal, state, or local office. This ban, codified in 52 U.S.C. § 30121"
So it is illegal to get foreign donations.
So if, per this meme, there is no "maybe" and no "allegedly", that means they have PROOF that something illegal occurred.
Yet, not a single mention of anyone getting arrested for it. And this speaks volumes against an Administration that keeps saying that they hold people accountable.
Has ANYONE been held accountable yet?
I think that's what the feds are investigating ActBlue for. Allegedly they would take in millions in foreign donations but they would list it as many smaller donations from Americans who donated previously. It seems it had an effect as the Democrats, all the sudden, can't seem to raise any money.

That's the whole purpose of Act Blue, is to launder that money.
Foreign nationals can't give to *candidates*, but a PAC isn't a candidate, so they *can* donate to Act Blue.
And Act Blue is an American corporation, so they *can* donate to candidates, or just buy ads, etc... directly.
That effectively neuters that law.
