Range Day Pic Thread

Took the 986 out to play today. Also took one of the “ghost guns” (gasp) out, CMMG radial delayed blowback 9mm AR I made from an 80% lower then bead blasted for the dull aluminum look. The multiple dot target was shot with a 10/22. Great day temp in the 70s and slightly overcast, did have a strong breeze at various points of the day.

Your 9mm S&W, when you cock the hammer all the way back, do you get any kind of hitching or stacking feeling in it as it locks back???

Weird that mine does it. I`m gonna send it back to S&W. I noticed a couple times, mine was locking up and i had to fiddle with it to get the hammer unlocked from jamming the cylinder up, too. (i checked the hillary lock, that isn`t effecting anything with it, so i ruled that out) I just figured i`d ask you and see if you felt anything weird with the hammer cocking back for single action with yours before i rule out anything else. Thanks DM

While I was checking the target after shooting the 986 this afternoon a wild turkey flew over the range and landed in a tree just on the other side of the range limit marker. It was pretty cool to watch. At first I saw this huge thing flying toward me and I thought WTF. Then I realized it was just moving off the range.

If we can get some clear weather here soon, i`m headed to the range! I got some 357 already loaded and ready to go!

Mama nature, PLEASE give us a some nice range days! And don`t let any turkeys fall from the sky on DM!!!!
