Its only broken ribs but, in an 85 year old body, ribs can be a bitch to heal.
She may be down for many, many months and may be forced to retire.
But shes a tough old bird.

She really will never die. Apparently she drinks a cup of liberal tears every morning and no longer needs to eat food. That alone rejuvenates her.

Basically came here to say this. I don't wish for people to die, but I think it's time for a kneel-down.

If she retires, I'll be shocked. I expect that even if she is being kept alive by machines and unresponsive to stimulus, her legal team will still be writing decisions.

Go to the light.... There is peace and serenity in the light....
She will not retire as long as Trump, or any conservative, is in office. She had a chance for Obama to replace her with another liberal and should have taken it but her hubris got the best of her.
As an aside -- if Trump were to be able to replace a liberal justice there would be riots.
Not protests.
Not demonstrations.
Not marches.
Riots.
Complete with deaths in the streets.
That might even get me to subscribe to cable TV again.

Die or retire...
I do not care. One way or another, I want her and her kind of my court.
I want the courts to lean as far right as possible. I want the rule of law and the respect of the Constitution brought back.
As long as her ilk sit on the highest court, that can not happen.
Again, I do not care how she leaves as long as she does!!!!

"I'm not usually a conspiracy person, but do wonder which right wing justice deliberately tripped RBG. Damn, I hope she recovers quickly and completely, but broken bones at that age are not good."

Of course. That interview she was at I last saw she's already got a foot in the grave. I refuse to believe she's functioning physically at a level suitable for a supreme court justice.

Every one of us has a clock. Hers has to be at an advanced time. None of us gets off scott free.
I wish her no ill will. I just wish she'd enjoy her retirement already. I mean the reality is, she's just one heart beat away from rigor mortis setting in.

"Ginsburg is the court's oldest member and there's been a great deal of speculation on when she may retire. However, she reportedly hired clerks for the term that extends into 2020, indicating she has no plans to retire."

I too wonder what would happen. If Trump nominates a woman it may be a bit more subdued. If it's a man (especially if it's a white man) I think there will be violence. Oh and a slew of false allegations against him.

Trump could nominate a gay genital-free humyn who's blind and lacks legs and the left will still find away to bend it as oppressive and archaic.

She will never retire. What else has she got in her life but to destroy a nation. Its he vocation, and her avocation all in one fuzzy ball.

Although the Supreme Court Justices have a job for life; should they have a mandatory retirement age - 75?
I have a 85 year old mother in law who lives with me. I wouldn't let her make toast for me, so why do I let a 85 year old RGB make my country's legal rulings.

Amy Coney Barrett has been on Trump's short list for SCOTUS picks. Given everything that happened with Kavanaugh, I'd be surprised if she wasn't his next pick.
Someone at the museum is surely going to get in trouble for this!
