I recently had real trouble passing on a Dan Wesson with the six barrel sizes package in 44 Mag. Fun money just wasn’t there.Back in the 1970s I gave my girlfriend/wife a Dan Wesson 357 with 2" barrel and combat grips, she carried it in a purse/handbag just larger than the revolver.
As far as using it, I have a good story, but lets say it will shoot through a small purse with out pulling it.
In nickle!Cool!! Oldie but a goodie!!

I dare say most gun owners have no appreciation for this until it starts having problems and new Springs are installed...Don't believe it? throw a new Spring into a Garand or 1911 while the customer is standing there and they'll know right away the difference. (sometimes they don't need new springs, but a good many do)It causes a change to spring tension/ memory when left compressed for long periods.
Still in the AO?I recently had real trouble passing on a Dan Wesson with the six barrel sizes package in 44 Mag. Fun money just wasn’t there.
I think it was on this site!Still in the AO?
I have a little fun money looking to make someone happy.
You can retain the springs by restretching and realizing the importance of rotating mags to let them reset.I dare say most gun owners have no appreciation for this until it starts having problems and new Springs are installed...Don't believe it? throw a new Spring into a Garand or 1911 while the customer is standing there and they'll know right away the difference. Occasionally I'll restretch a Spring, but if new ones are available I just replace them...I bought a bis assortment pack containing spring steel sticks of various diameters; you'll screw up a lot of them before you learn to make one right. You can retain the springs by restretching and realizing the importance of rotating mags to let them reset.
I often have to show/demonstrate it by disassembling theirs then showing them the spring length of a factory one.
