Ruger confirms headquarters relocation and Connecticut office changes.

Ruger confirmed that its headquarters moved from Southport, Connecticut, to Mayodan, North Carolina, as reflected in its recent earnings report dateline and company statement.

Ruger’s relocation reflects a broader exodus of firearms companies from Connecticut, a state with a long gunmaking history but increasingly strict regulations since the 2012 Sandy Hook tragedy.

Other firms, such as Stag Arms and PTR Industries, have previously moved to states with perceived friendlier business climates. The move underscores the shrinking footprint of the gun industry in liberal blue anti 2A States.

Ruger has been operating out of Mayodan, NC since 2013. Moving HQ there back in January, 2026 was a surprise to no one.

I think it was a surprise to the rabid anti-gunners in blue states who have enjoyed sucking off Ruger's teat, stealing their money, restricting their trade, and in general blaming them for everything bad in the world.

something, something, Golden Goose is dead...

From a business stand point, Connecticut and other liberal states, either don't care about revenue or don't understand the revenue they just lost. They seem to want the money, but some how the product is bad? Personally, anyone with any kind of business acumen would understand that. I sure the governor is saying "we can make up the lost revenue with higher taxes"

Kathy Hochul is starting to u sweat and it. Earlier this year she was begging the wealthy to come back from Florida to support our social programs because they are so good.
They have now realized importing immigrants covers up the people deficit but not the financial one. California is starting to face this coat as well as NJ. They know this is going to be an issue.

Cut off all Federal Funds to Sanctuary States....................all are in rebellion.

Ct gerrymandered, so that not one Republican has a seat from Ct in Congress.
Same with Mass.

Democracy is dead in the blue states, that only adhere to Mao, Xi's money, Lenin, Marx, Alinsky..................in history, this would have been an "unpleasant experience" already.
The Future beckons.
