Well, this shit show is truly exposing the uniparty. Pelosi clearly dropped the ball and was to defend McCarthy and now lost her office finally after McCarthy is removed. That wasn't to come out lol What was that all about? lol The uniparty has no control over the wings groups. The GOP clearly expressed targeting for removal the gang of eight. Wait what? lol Gaetz simply wanted up or down votes on legislation not related to each other, honor the agreement that got McCarthy the speakership, stop the back room no accountability votes and challenge special interest money. The uniparty exposed themselves in protecting the current system and attacking anyone that attempts to bring the government in line with the constitution.

Watch Trump approval rating rise once again. lol

This absolutely makes sense.

It also explains why KM talked so tough at the beginning. And then whined it would only take 5 republicans to tank his speakership - he saw the writing on the wall when all his calls to pelosi went straight to voicemail while she was at Feinstein's funeral. That was the reason for the motion to table. He expected pelosi to make good on their deal.

First question that came to my mind was why didn't McCarthy do this 8 months ago? And now, payback for getting back-stabbed on a bribe explains it.

This is how these scum vote for everything - not for us but for their own gain.

Once again, social media exposes the story MSM ignores and this one is easy to see and understand.

I imagine the talking heads will eventually have to give it attention. Watch them and the RINOs for the fake indignation that follows.

They may have even thrown Gaetz a lifeline. If Geatz's motion to vacate is thought to be the impetus for exposing this, they may have no choice but to "forgive" him just to distance themselves from it.

Hilarious. RINOs aren't even bright enough to be good at being corrupt.

This story needs to be spread far and wide.

The whole mess is obtuse enough that most people don't give a crap.

The soap opera like backstabbing is the circus part of bread and circuses.

A bit of a long watch, but is very in depth look at how Google is manipulating US politics and culture with things as trivial as "search suggestions". Quite the thing when one remembers that it largely consists of foreigners and "dual citizens".

I think all the public feuds and so forth will one day be seen the same as professional wrestling.

In the 1970s people really thought that stuff was real.

But by the end of the 80s everyone knew it was all an act, and they were just following a script.

There really weren't good guys and bad guys, just a lot of actors.

Even with such a short term as speaker, and the historical achievement (humiliation) of being the 1st one voted out by their own party, McCarthy has probably enriched himself beyond what most of us could imagine. Wouldn't be surprised if he retired at the end of this term and took a sweet position on the board of some Ukrainian company.

That was quick.

Kevin McCarthy considers resigning from the House before the end of his term

The deposed former speaker has made clear he plans to stay at least through the speakership election before ending his House career, two people familiar with the matter tell POLITICO.

Trump and the people want Jordan and the establishment wants Scalise. Scalise was nominated but he didn't get the votes. Jordan wasn't nominated and said he would then support Scalise. If Scalise got in we would probably go back to the status quo of what McCarthy was doing

Almost 108,000 voted here.

Easy solution. Threaten to put Trump in the seat instead. Also make all voting public as it should be. The secret shit is why we are in the mess we are.

Not just the voting.

In a legislative body, all the negotiating and discussion should be public too. No more back room deals.

Discussing legislation outside an official proceeding (with invited press) should be considered an ethical violation similar to ex-parte communication in a legal proceeding.

Bonus, all the lobbying would have to be out in the open too.

queue all the legislators saying "You don't understand how things work, we can't possibly do that".

and my response is "We understand very well how things work, and we don't want them to be able to work that way ever again".

Even the congressional toilet stalls should be livestreamed on CSPAN, from the chest up at least, and they need to keep their dirty hands where we can see them!

and if they get caught discussing legislation outside of an official proceeding, they should be sanctioned. At least stripped of all committee assignments, probably expelled from congress for repeat infractions.

You can discuss where Pelosi hides her liquor in the elevator, but not the bill you're writing.

It should be so intrusive, embarrassingly public, and financially destructive that nobody ever dreams of running.

I don't even trust the founders anymore. Our government has been corrupt since it was nothing more than an idea.

It was, people even wanted a King. The concept of what the founders did was amazing and the foresite astounding.

Was the Constitution perfect? No but it was a great starting point that I think was missing a couple of ideas.

The biggest point the founders ever made was, if you can keep it. They knew the idea of this country would only work if it was run by just and moral people. We are not that anymore.
