The trunnions @Will556 posted would work and there are a ton of other places you could get them. The issue is obviously time and cost. As alluded to, you will have to get someone that can demill the rear trunnion and install a new one. So the question is what are you willing to spend and how fast do you want it? Do you trust sending your gun out nowadays? If you want something fast I would just go the SB Tactical route. Or some other non permanent way. Non permanent also has the benefit of being able to change the setup if you don't like what you first pick (folding, non-fold, buffer tube etc). There is also the added benefit of being able to simply remove it if sometime down the road laws change. You know what I'm talking about.

I believe I have the SBM47 model somewhere around. I'll see if I can find it.

Yeah non perm may be the way to go . . . having lived here in FL once before, going to NY, and then returning to FL . . . yup. Still have to get a new Sadlak mag release to fix my M1A after I the original got chopped to NY use.
Damn, I guess flexibility has it's benefits. Wish I had grabbed a couple of Franklin triggers before they stopped selling them here. My new PTR MP would have been perfect with that. Haven't seen an install vid on the sbm47. Loosen the grip and stick on? Probably not.

Yes. It's that easy. I found mine and see that I actually had bought a couple of adapters. One being a JMac. Man it's been a long time.

Best and most simple/cheapest options aren’t the same lol. You could just as easily throw a non adjustable brace like the SBM4 over a buffer tube that’s attached to the Jmac MRKT trunnion (which would essentially be the exact same as the SBM47 but with a much better brace angle). I never liked the annoying weird angle you tend to see on AK style stocks/braces which you also seem to get with the SBM47…the Jmac trunnions also fix that issue. Another nice thing about using an MRKT trunnion is you can use their fixed adapter (when you can’t or don’t want a side folder) and utilize 1913 style brace. With the MRKT installed you literally would have pretty much any style of setup that you would ever want at your disposal just changing adapters and you can change the setup within minutes making it future-proof. You move out of state and can legally own a collapsible brace/stock, you’re good to go. You want to make it into a side folder, good to go. You want to run AR style stocks or braces…yup. Then also using the 1913 Sig style braces/stocks it allows you to adjust the height of the brace up and down on the picatinny section giving you the ability to raise or lower your cheek weld for you personally. The MRKT is undoubtedly superior to the SBM47.

Wow! Yup I have just completed the master's course! Will, I do thank you for all that, truly. I agree with this but . . . I'm going to run way short on $$. I'll post pix of the PTR MP5 clone soon and probably the SA-35 I just got the the call on but after those two, the SBM47 will probably be where I heading right now, especially if someone has one available . . . That's not to say that I won't go with the MRKT later especially in light of all the info you have provided. Thanks again!

Added a set of meprolight 3 dot night sights to my Ruger GP100. I found that the fiber optic Hiviz sights I had didn’t work that well at indoor ranges due to indoor lighting. I wanted something like a 3 dot sights you can get on Glocks. Took a little bit of filing to hand fit the front sight but the rear sight dropped right in. The rear sight is both height and windage adjustable like the factory sights. Went to range and it was a big improvement for accuracy. Now the question is, do I sight it in for the 38 special range ammo I use, or the 357 magnum carry ammo ? Decision decisions lol.

I would love it if someone made a modern combat revolver. Something in stainless so it won’t corrode, rubber grip, 3 dot night sights with orange front sight and white rear, good trigger, ported barrel, and a under lug rail for a light. Chambered in 357 magnum with a 6 or 7 shot cylinder. A top rail for a red dot would nice as well.

They had a G17 MOS too. Not sure about the mags though.

I’ve been waiting on G17 Gen 5 MOS with stock sights with compliant mags. Currently been on backorder since January. Glock has been focused on G34 and G19 production it seems.

For a few years Smith and Wesson built the TRR327, also known as the Tactical Rail Revolver 8. It was an 8 shot, blued Scandium revolver with rails on top for sights and an accessory under lug rail for a light. The N framed revolver sported a five inch barrel and weighed 35 ounces. An adjustable rear sight coupled with a front white dot was standard as were Hogue grips and a cylinder cut for 8 round moon clips.
Picture this with a red dot of your choice and a light like an X300, maybe add a Crimson Trace laser grip and some decent .357 Mag hollowpoints. Replace the front white dot with a tritium sight Old school kool with some high tech smack. Sign me up ! !

The knocks I had against that was that it was not stainless steel and wasn’t a ported barrel (if I remember right). I have no interest in light weight frame revolvers as the Lighter weight slows down follow up shots and allows for more muzzle flip and recoil. That’s why I like my GP100 and SP101 compared to other revolvers
