It’s a 20 grain powder-less round driven by the primer medium at 590 fps.
Great for basement or garage plinking without the necessity of hearing protection. It won’t cycle a semi auto but it’s a blast in revolvers and single shot rifles.

Never heard of them. Somewhere in my mess I have some Speer .38 plastic bullets that are primer driven.
Yeah we plink with .38 “ waxies” too . Primed .38 casings pushed into a block of paraffin wax. Great Fun on a frigid afternoon in the garage with a brace of revolvers and a cigar .

Dad used to mix paraffin and beeswax in a saucepan then pour it into the mould to form .45 Colt bullets. Add a primer and you're good to go. The beeswax made the parrafin soft enough to not splatter in a haybale . You could dig them out and reuse them several times. A magnum primer gave the load a bit more spice. The single action army saw many nights in the basement. I now have a couple boxes of the .38 and .45 speer plastic bullets for just such an occasion.
Side note : the plastic .45 bullets and a magnum primer are a quiet deterrant to your neighbor's cat that wants to shit in your flower bed. The cat's catterwalling is far louder than the innitial pop of the primer. For that matter, my laughing is louder than the primer. For some reason, my neighbor's cat rarely comes to visit anymore.

A few months ago, there was a sale on Ballistic Advantage barrels. I got a 10.5" 5.56 AND an 8.3" 9mm barrel for $80 shipped.
Already had a spare lower, upper, gas block and trigger. Bought a used buffer tube and brace. Ordered a LPK and handguard last week.
Put it all together today.

Military surplus sling came in today. So was able to finish putting everything back together. Paint job turned out awesome. Used krylon fusion camo woodland green and earth brown. Sling is an OD green surplus cloth sling for an M14. Before reassembly cleaned and greased all applicable places. Not bad at all.

What did I get??
I got my ADK camp broken into. The bastards stole 2 guns, a few old scopes, ammo, a pellet gun, gun cleaning kits, one jar of silver poker/pitch coins and they even stole my wooden matches to light fires. They Tossed everything in the camp. busted up the back door. They didn't touch my fishing poles, forgot to see if my tackle box is there. Guess I need to pay for internet so I can get live camera feed.

The purple tie crowd will come to the logical conclusion that it was your fault, and that the poor illegal aliens oops, I mean the new migrants needed that stuff far more than you. They'll probably go so far as to tell the DA to prosecute you for improper storage of a firearm, as well as transferring a firearm without a background check. They might even claim you're involved in the business, since you transferred two ! And let's not even mention the ammunition. You might be screwed.

This was always one of my biggest fears/worries when we had our cabin in the middle of nowhere.
We got lucky throughout all the years.

I called the county sheriff's department but dispatchers sent me two troopers. They were both nice,,, but they do not know the locals like the Sherriff's do.

I had a lot of hits after posting on a Facebook group page for the county. A close by local informed me they found a known tweaker dead in the snowbanks not far from my place back in December.
