My 8 year old daughter has been asking to shoot pistols, she found herself a Browning 1911-22, at a local show.

She made me proud walking around the gun show looking at guns for a pink or purple .22 (it was a requirement) and talking to the guys behind the tables about what she was looking for.

Added an EPS Carry to the shield X.

The shield X is becoming one of my favorite carry guns for how well it both carries and shoots. It is a soft shooter.

HK USP 45, the only sensible caliber for the USP. Standard type 1 Variant rigger group, Safety/decocker. Saw it in the Used section of my LGS for a very reasonable price so I pulled the trigger. Its well used but in fine condition, trigger is smoothed out.

Dude it’s not only an HK it’s a USP.

They start becoming “used” at about 2.7 million rounds.

Is as hard as everyone says to replace the recoil spring? I want to get a spare recoil assembly and install a 20ib spring for use with 45 Super loads.

Even if it is hard, if it's worth doing it shouldn't be an issue. To me, the only hard thing is not trying to do something because others say it is hard. YouTube can be your friend.

I thought HK sold a USP Tactical Complete Recoil Assembly with the heavier spring so you would not have to deal with replacing the captive spring. Sure, it'll cost more than a 15 dollar spring but it will be well under 100 bucks.

No optic plate here yet though, so I can’t mount it just yet.

Meraki Machine muzzle brake.
This completely tamed, my 7mm Rem Mag.
Significantly less expensive than APA and other alternatives. Owner answered the phone. Fantastic conversation with him, answered all my questions.

Picked up a new deer rifle. Got a Glenfield Model A in 6.5 creedmoor. Added a 1-4x vortex I had laying around. Should be as accurate as my other Ruger American rifles I’ve had (1-1.5MOA) which is adequate enough for getting a deer at 100-150yards. Plus I won’t feel bad about carrying a $400ish rifle thru the brush vs a more expensive rifle.

Swapped the RMR HD from one of the XC’s to one of the C4X’s. Then installed an SRO on the XC with a different adapter plate that places the SRO slightly further back to help alleviate any issues of the longer front end of the SRO hanging over the breech face.

A bit more than $12k total lol…but yeah, I love them. My XC shoots great. Extremely flat shooting. The aggressive stainless steel Cheely E2 grip makes it even nicer and adds some extra weight to help with that. The Red Dirt trigger is really sweet as well. It runs really really well even when it’s dirty. I’ve run the crap out of it and it just eats and spits out whatever kind of ammo I run through it, even with the feedramps covered it total crap. Haven’t had a failure with it yet.
