So during an archaic memory dump, I remembered an advertisement for "suppressed muzzleloaders" that didn't require BATFE or any other approval since they were made into a "non-Gun" ie, a muzzleloader.
Now before posting this, I did a quick search to see if they were still a thing:

I wonder how these would play out in NY?
There are lots of Air Rifles with around mitigation built in, and I'm not sure the ones that I've shot really did anything, since there's more noise from springs or air dumps than projectile noise.
