This is correct. A place I know of used to grow hemp and switch over to weed when legalized and they use green card holders. They did the right thing and told them hey look weed is still illegal federally so working here and handling this stuff puts your green card at risk and they lost most of their workforce. I’m not sure it wasn’t by design but certainly it’s not a done deal. Hell we arrest and jail American citizens for committing crimes so I’m not sure why people think they should be able to do as they please.Even someone with a green card (lawful permanent residence) can, upon committing certain acts or crimes, become deportable from the United States and removed.

I get helping those in need but there has to be a limit. if we help everyone no one would actually get helped. Say I have $5,000 to help people. My wife’s friend needs a boiler and I could give her the $5,000 and cover most of her boiler or I could decided to help 5 people at $1,000 each but that $1,000 is certainly less helpful than $5,000 right? Now say 10 people, 20 people, 100 people or even 5,000 people. Everything you add people it is less helpful and me taking $5,000 to help 5,000 people isn’t really helpful now is it. I don’t get why people don’t understand this.
I know a lady who works with refugee families and she is constantly asking for free stuff or donations. It got so bad that anytime my wife would post something for free or mention it she would gobble it up immediately then it would be can you hold it for a week, a month, well I don’t have a truck but your husband does can you deliver it? You know what happened I got sick of it and the constant demands so I put it to the curb now and post it locally to help my immediate community members.

They deported them without due process. These are us citizens, not illegals. Very different things.

Doesn't matter. American citizens are legally entitled to representation. He's a US citizen so he gets representation. Full stop.
I'm 100% on board with deporting every single illegal. I'm not on board at all with denying citizens their rights, whether you think they need them or not. It's up to them to decide to waive their rights, not you or I. If he chooses to go on his own, that's fine. If not then deport the parent(s) and he becomes a ward of the state.

The kid wasn't deported. His mother was deported and the kid stayed with her.
And if they'd made the kid a ward of the state so that he could stay, then people would be up in arms about them being separated.
Presumably the kid *could* have stayed, if that's what the family wanted. But the mom was going with or without him.

The process that they are due hasnt changed. Biden didn't want to deport many, but the ones he did got the same process Trump is using.

The kids werent deported, the mother was. The kids went with her, as it should be. They are not adults, they have to be in the mothers care til they are of age, then they can come back. If the mother is capable of caring for the kids, no way they should be fostered or become wards of the state. Adios amiga

I read that for each of these 3 children, adult family members here in the US legally were approached about taking custody of the child and all declined.

Even in a criminal case it's not automatic, you do need to ask.
I find it implausible that a 4 year old asked for a lawyer and was denied anyway.

Agreed 100%. The "due process" needs to be nothing more than positive identification of the individual, and that they are here illegally. Done and gone. Definitely cant have every case winding through the courts for years.

Think of it this way.
Anyone can be arrested and thrown in jail based on a single police officer merely thinking there is probable cause that they committed a crime.
The standard for deportation is about the same.
You get a trial and all that, but not until *after* you spent time in jail. You're not even guaranteed to *see* a judge to talk about bail for 24 hours or more.
If you're not guilty of the crime, you are entitled to a trial and all sorts of due process to find that out.
With deportation, that just happens in another country. If you aren't here illegally, then you have ample opportunity to plead that case and be allowed back in.
Just like you get a trial, but you sit in jail till it happens, you have a process to re-enter the US as well, you just sit in the other country while it happens.
Now, getting deported when you're a legal resident would suck for sure. But I'm not sure it's worse than spending weeks or months in jail waiting for a trial.
The government *should* compensate both parties for it's error in those cases, but I'm not sure there is a good argument for why the Deportation case is worse

Perhaps I'm wrong (it was a long time ago in a High School classroom where I was more interested in the girl beside me than the subject) but we were told as Minors, that we really did not have "Rights" and when you look in the proper context, the Teacher was correct, and why your Parents/Guardians were responsible for your actions.
I still contend that the age of Legal Adulthood should return to and remain at 21.

As minors we have no authority to take them from the mother to keep them here as citizens, they cannot make any decision about staying or going until they are of age. So they stay with the mother.
