Also, it's 18 to 30 inches deep. It's going to be warm water all summer unless you refrigerate it. Doesn't matter what color you paint the bottom.
That's what the chemicals are for.
If the goal was just to get rid of the algae they could have just dumped in a few gallons of shock and some algaecide and called it a day.
The renovation was to fix the leaks. Nobody is suggesting there was any problem with that.
Also, the complaints about the cost ring hollow when the people making them were fine with Obama's renovation that cost 10x as much and didn't even fix the problem.
