You like "hanging out and talking with like minded people"?
Oh fuck off, you are as big as misanthrope as I am . If you are like me anytime you are among a crowd running through your mind on a non-stop loop is
"getoutofmywaygetoutofmywaygofuckyoirselfgofuckyourselfgetoutofmywayfuckyoufuckyoufuckyougetoutofmyway"

I'll stop at vendors that are not to busy and shoot the shit.
The crowds of people, yes, I am bothered by them.

Sounds remarkably like Prambo.

That's great!
At the Hamburg Show there are four Counties represented there, and we sell/sold quite a few Handguns and it's much faster process with the Clerks there.
We aren't doing Syracuse this October as Hunting Season starts in the Northern Zone and that's the busiest time of year, not doing Hamburg in January as the Weather is generally unfriendly for a four hour ride pulling a Trailer.
This Sunday, 12 oct. is the Lisle Show....might take a ride down.

My wife is working a double next Saturday so maybe I'll go spend some money at the fairgrounds.

So I finally made it to the Suckacuse gun show since they moved it to the Dairy building. The lay out is much better, way more room between the isles. But it's also deceiving. I'm not sure if there was less vendors and less people or simply more space to spread out.
But I will say that I haven't seen a friggin shuttle bus since the high eyebrows twat took over. And they certainly make you walk to the furthest door to gain entry.

We (VanTassel's) didn't set up this time, this is the busiest time of the year for the Shop and the Fall Show has historically been "slow", and to top it off, we've been back and forth to Up State every day for our Son.

I finally figured out what was missing. The Center of Progress building always had a back room that was largely bulk ammo sales. I didn't see any ammo by the case.
Northeast usually sets up near the loading docks, last time he had at least three guys doing BGC's so that's at least three guys you've got to pay for the weekend, then there's Hotels, Meals, etc. wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't worth the effort, especially considering Allentown was the same weekend and there's money there, unlike the poor bastards in Syracuse.
I just got back from a crowded first day at the Hamburg Gun Show in Erie County. Very nice; lots of buying and selling going on.
Another great opening day at the Hamburg gun show in Erie County. Big crowd on Saturday despite the downpour. Pistol permit clerks from four counties were doing a brisk business.

FYI: Hamburg is September 20-27
Syracuse is October 17-18 (back in the Center of Progress Building due to construction in the Dairy Barn)
We're planning on bringing "smalls" in bulk: it's astounding the "stuff" the Shop has accumulated in 40 years of operation.

That's a month later than usual. Also the Northern Muzzle season opener.
I don’t Ever remember the Syracuse Gun show being so late in the fall.
Last October we didn't do the October Show for that very reason...for no busier that we were, might should have done the Show...We didn't do Hamburg in January either in anticipation of bad weather; after a certain point in one's life, the juice ain't worth the squeeze.
When the old Club dissolved and the new one was formed under Marc's leadership, the Show schedule "interfered" with his Bag Pipe playing...

I went through on Sunday morning. I was alone so I moved at a good pace. I really didn't see much that wasn't at retail or higher. I did look for FP's store but the few I asked only knew of the shop but didn't know which table they were located. I walked out with a large table mat and a shitty hamburger.
I probably skip any of the fall shows and only do the Springtime when it returns to the dairy building. Originally I thought it would be a downgrade, but it seems to be easier to look at things with more elbow room.
You weren't the only person to speak of shitty hamburgers...
The moved us farther down this time right to the middle of the building by the entrance to the back annex across from women selling pickles and sausage...
I've associated with several FFL's for decades: I help Van Tassel's with the Gun Shows and in return have table space to sell my crap and Dealer rights should I want to buy something, especially Handguns, so it's a fair trade and besides, we've been personal friends since 1987 and would help her irrespective of any benefits.
I'm 63 and she's 72 and we're both getting a bit tired of doing these Shows; Her Son and future DIL are taking over the Business. which is great considering the inventory, clientele, and the fact there are only a hand full of Shops and even fewer that have qualified/trained gun smiths and not just someone that took a Glock Armorers course.
