Some of the migrants are housed in the nearly century-old Roosevelt Hotel, a city landmark owned by Pakistan International Airlines, while others are sent to other hotels or venues.
The tide of illegal immigrants at the US southern border that has roiled the nation’s politics has reached New York City and a Pakistan-owned hotel is its hub earning the cash-strapped country a bounty of $220 million.
The Roosevelt Hotel, shut down in 2020 during the Covid pandemic and was slipping into dereliction, was commandeered by the city government to process asylum-seekers streaming in by the tens of thousands from the Republican states on the border with Mexico.
New York Mayor Eric Adams, a centrist Democrat, declared bluntly, “We have no more room”.
Later, he warned in a CBS News interview that the surge of immigrants would “decimate” the nation’s “economic engine” and cost the city $12 billion over three years.
Of that, $220 million would go to Pakistan as rent for the Roosevelt, according to Bloomberg.

Maybe it’s the few beverages I have in me at the moment but I can’t help but notice that the bulk of these “migrants” are military aged males. As numerous other members here have alluded to this is an invasion force just waiting for their moment.
When the murders, Rapes, and Robberies really start happening, the Dem's/Left will think themselves insulated from it, until it does happen, then they'll dismiss it as an isolated incident, and eventually when someone of notoriety or Political Office has it happen to them, then suddenly it'll be an issue and Law Enforcement will be ordered to make examples and make sure the illegals understand who's off limits.

On Thursday, The Gateway Pundit reported that Mayor Brandon Johnson has signed a $29 million contract with Garda World to construct six camps across the city to house 200 to 1,400 migrants per zone. Migrants will receive bedding, laundry, showers, and three meals per day, which is more than most homeless people are afforded despite being citizens.NBC 5 Chicago requested documents to show where the money was going. Some of the records they’ve received thus far have showed that some employees of these migrant shelters are making at least $135 per hour. Invoices show some employees are making almost $200 per hour!
The obtained invoices from Favorite Healthcare Staffing show that a facility manager made $14,000 in just one week in December and a nurse made over $20,000 in one week! Favorite Healthcare Staffing is based out of Kansas and has been paid at least $56 million since last October to help care for the 13,000 migrants in Chicago, according to NBC 5’s investigation.
Chicago is currently facing a $538 million budget shortfall, with more than one-third of that attributed to the Joe Biden’s migrant crisis.

Well governor, just get the assembly and senate in session and draft a repeal or suspension and let get the politicians go on record. We the people want accountability. Going the judicial route is unconstitutional. Judges don't have the power to suspend, eliminate or create law. Better yet, why doesn't she suspend it by decree.
