Looks like the Iranians shot some missiles at some C-17s delivering some patriots to Isreal.

Then we smoked the bases the missiles were fired from.

So this isn't a "new attack", just some tit for tat retaliation.

Well, he was talking about Fordow, Isfahan , and Natanz.

That was operation Midnight Hammer from June of '25.

There's basically nothing left to bomb at any of them.

I honestly don't know why Trump started bombing Iran again. Is this correct or just some disinformation? If true Trump certainly could have done a better job communicating this. I don't think it would have changed the election results.

I'm really conflicted about all this.

I support our military 100%.

But I'm pretty jaded by Iraq/Afghanistan.

I absolutely believe Iran does a lot of bad shit and the Ayatollah was a huge asshole, and the IRGC are terrible people. They absolutely are responsible for American dead. The world is better off without them.

I have no problem with the regular Iranian people. They are just trying to live their lives, and I genuinely hope this ends up better for them and they can prosper and have more freedom.

But the whole thing feels a little slimy to me that we are pre-emptively attacking another country when we should be America first. America first doesn't mean doing Israels bidding for them. It feels like we are being manipulated into this.

I would love to have POTUS share the Intel with the people and explain why we had to attack now without delay. Was Iran realllllly about to put nukes on ICBMs? And even if the intel says so, I'm not sure if I would believe it anyway. Fool me once shame on you....


This might end up great for America and our interests but it also might be an enormous miscalculation.
Honestly if China is planning a move on Taiwan they may not have a better opportunity than right now.

I'm very uneasy about all this. I really wanted a more isolationist position and focus on putting America first. If we have to deviate from our isolationist positions at least clearly communicate to the people WHY we have to do so and why it's in our best interest.

@tirwin1 I posted this shortly after the conflict restarted maybe in months ago. I think it aligns with your above post so I'm just bringing it up again to compare.

I agree. But my question is what constitutes "finishing the job?" Destroying the IRG? Killing the new ayatollah? Complete regime change? Military occupation (we saw how well that worked out in Iraq and Afghanistan)?

I would love nothing more than to see the Iranian people throw off this despotic regime. But I'm done with spending American money and shedding American blood to do that.

Might it just be that there ARE sleeper cells here in America and leadership, control, and funding comes from Iran?
That those cells will remain quiet until instructed to act, so each time the US figuratively cuts off their heads, things remain quiet here?
We speculate, bitch and complain about what POTUS does, but seemingly fail to recognize the size, scope, and mountainous amount of intelligence from the CIA, Military Intelligence, and advisors that KNOW what the fuck they're talking about.
It's easy to armchair QB when you're watching the replay instead of actually being on the Field.

U.S. is very good at getting radicals, criminals and drug addicts staging civil unrest and violent confrontation with authorities. More often than not it is done by hijacking legitimate protests. To say they represent the will of the people of that country is a stretch. It's hundreds out of millions. When violent regime change succeeds, the rest either accepts it or civil war breaks out.
It's not the will of the people. The people will suffer as a whole.
