I don't think they have very many SU-57's operational. I saw that only 2 took part in operations in Syria. Read elsewhere that the first operational squadron (24 planes) wasn't going to happen until 2025.I tend to disagree with some of that. Remember Russia doesn't view casualties the way we do. Western countries are extremely averse to casualties where Russia is viewing them more as pawns to achieve an objective.
I think Ukraine is putting up a better fight than was expected and Russian losses are far higher than being reported. (but so are Ukrainian losses)
Russia is seemingly trying to prevent wholesale destruction to infrastructure. They seem to want Ukraine as an asset not as a liability.
Russia isn't using their best equipment or best battalions.
As an example you may have still heard that the airspace is somewhat "contested" and it's not Russian dominated yet. Russia has an extensive array of missiles, stealth fighters (su57) , strategic bombers (tu160, tu95, tu22) and tactical strike bombers (su34 fullback). Now I don't think the SU57 is on the same level as western stealth fighters but it should be able to mop the floor with Ukrainian Soviet era planes. There should be constant su57s over Ukraine right now blasting anything that takes off. Russia should be cratering every airfield in Ukrainian control preventing anything from taking off.
Why haven't they?
Russia has an extremely extensive inventory of artillery, rockets, missiles and modern heavy armor. Why aren't they using it? Why are all the destroyed pieces of armor we see consist of mostly older models of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles?
Very confusing.
I don't proclaim to know what's going on but I certainly do not believe what's being reported. Ukraine is saying don't worry everything is fine but their actions seem to speak the opposite. Russia hasn't really said much at all either way. They are just steadily and incrementally advancing. Ukraine is winning the propoganda war but I think the true picture paints a different story.
I'm just trying to absorb information, ignore every talking head pundit and then myself try to analyze the most likely scenario of what makes sense for me.
I think Russia is still in control, they are still calm and confident. They are not desperate. They are still planning to occupy Ukraine. What their next move is, I'm not sure of yet but they're saving their best assets for that.
However I do find some things very befuddling that I just can't make sense out of that are not adding up.
Edit, for comparison here is the US war in Iraq timeline.
The invasion phase began on 19 March 2003 (air) and 20 March 2003 (ground) and lasted just over one month,[26] including 26 days of major combat operations, in which a combined force of troops from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland invaded Iraq. The capital city of Baghdad was captured by Coalition forces on April 9, 2003

And if they did launch? Thats a hell of a gamble with millions of peoples lives. Its a bet that requires the enemy to act as you would . Not worth the gamble.

So, who is telling the truth?
A news organization, the US or Poland?

Send them more bayraktar drones and manpads. Jets are very expensive and I don't know if ukraine will just lose them. From what I read, Russian pilots don't have much training. Maybe 100 hours a year.
Russia has always depended on throwing numbers at a situation. No tact. No regard for their people. They don't progress if something works they keep it that way.

How about this, the US stop sending everything to them.
The sooner the Ukrainians run dry on ammunition, the quicker this will end.

How about this, why don't the Russians end this quicker by pulling out of the Ukraine

Yeah, I'm torn on this.
The amount of shit talking the world has been doing about America in the past decade. Maybe fuck them ,let them see what the world is like without us.
The other side is that a World War may be inevitable if this fire doesn't get stomped out. Sometimes, the only way to peace is with strength, and if there is going to be a world power, I'd feel better if it were the USA.
Either way, I feel at this point, restraint may be the best option right now.

Or how about the rest of the world pay us to defend them.
You want jet? Fuck you pay me.
You want tanks? Fuck you pay me.

One take:
"The [DS] is panicking, they are unable to stop the white hats from destroying their money laundering operation in Ukraine, they are becoming desperate. War is real the information regarding the war is fake. We are witnessing the dismantling of the new world order. The US will no longer be the policeman of the world, countries will now take care of their own battles. Look at the middle east, Afghanistan etc. The pandemic disappeared, the truth about it is coming out, the numbers were rigged."
The optics are very important. People are now questioning what Brandon and his administration are doing. When they hear the US is still buying oil from Russia but we have sanctions in place, does that make any sense?

What is real at this moment is that the Russians are not in a cakewalk. They are hurt and in trouble. Dementia Joe put us in this situation with his chamberlain like foreign policy decisions. Unfortunately we have picked a side and the only decision we have now is how far we support the Ukrainians.
President Trump was always right on calling out NATO on not paying for their own defense and now they seem to be picking up the bill. Alot of NATO countries seem to believe that a powerful Russia is not a good thing.
So were does that leave us, maybe a weakened Russia will allow us to finally take a closer look at our number 1 position in NATO and maybe we can finally talk about letting the Europeans take control of their defense.
I do not believe the Russian Army is hurt or are they in trouble.
I believe the Russian Army is exactly where they want to be.
I believe that NATO is going to screw this up so badly, that become even weaker than they already are.
I believe that their is going too be a serious shift in opinion, sooner than later.
Wonder if there is any truth to this video???

Remember Victoria Nuland? She worked with the Obama/Biden regime to install a puppet government in the Ukraine. Hmmm...

This was in 2016 with the installed regime. Maybe this is why Graham is panicking. Remember, he called for Putin to be "taken out."

I believe if you think you are a first world power then you better believe that you should stomp all over a third world power in less time than it's taken.
I believe also that if you believe your military is technically superior to your enemy then taking as many causulities as they have is not being in the position you want to be.
I believe also that NATO could certainly screw this up, especially if dementia Joe starts meddling to much.
I believe also the longer this goes on, the harder is for that to happen as long as no American service members are involved.
Why so much effort to stick up for The Ukraine right now?
Not just you, all that have this dying need to stick up for them?
Does anyone really care that they were attacked? Why such outrage over this?
Maybe if I could understand why all of a sudden, so many care about them as a Nation, this would be easier for me to understand.
Your first line of your reply, do you really want the US to attack Russia? This is what I get out of your post.
