what the hell is that going to do if we dont invade? and the logistics behind that kind of operation are huge , the warthogs range is 300 miles , Iran is thousands of square miles it requires fuel and tankers and ammo and a nearby land base inside Iran to be effective . turn around time has to be quick . Iran has roughly 500K to 1 million men now. they also have effective manpads which could take its toll over time on the warthogs too. They knocked down 2 or three recently .You have to have an army go in and dig them out of the mountains to defeat them

Not saying it cant be done, but the size of that kind of thing is immense

This recent public discourse discussion challenging the regime mentioned in the video .... as well as the depicted civil disobedience, on Moali'Abad Blvd in Shiraz / Fars Province, towards the "Chastity and Hijab" bill (tightened by Iran's Parliment and Guardian Council in 2024) mandating compulsory veiling of their hair in public are in fact testing the regime.

Iranian law flat out mandates fines, prison sentences, and surveillance for violators shown in these videos so it does show some testing the waters with civil disobedience. Granted these are clearly not protests and are likely not widespread but those people are flouting regime mandates.

You can't have it both ways. If on one post they are called "normal Iranians Some of you want to kill " and then in a following post they can't be " a handful of CIA backed resistors".

China has little or no natural oil producing capabilities, thats their Achilles heel . Controlling the petrol dollar secures the future of the US dollar against the BRIC nations for the next 20 or 30 years .

So what's this latest and greatest 14 point plan that some media says Trump should consider. I read several reports from various worldwide sources and I failed to see any Iranian language softening or concessions. It was a waste of time. Nothing really changed. They are demanding ....

Resolve all issues and end the war within 30 days (not just instead a ceasefire)

Worldwide guarantees of no future military aggression against Iran

Withdrawal of all U.S. forces from the entire middle east including Marine Embassy guards

End to any naval blockades against Iran or its partners

Release of all frozen Iranian assets

Payment of reparations to Iran

Lifting of all sanctions against Iran

End all fighting against Iranian allies in Lebanon, Gaza, Iraq, and Yemen

Agreement that the entire Strait of Hormuz is Iranian territory

A mechanism for Iranian governance of the Strait of Hormuz (permission to pass, tolls, fee's, etc)

Guarantee against future aggression against Iranian nuclear scientists and sabotage to its nuclear sites.

Iran's right to uranium enrichment shall be guaranteed

Iran's right to nuclear programs (e.g. weapons) is guaranteed

No dismantling of nuclear, missle, or weapons facilities

Iran retains it's enriched fuel

Iran can maintain its missile capabilities and development as a core issue, with no concessions

I don't see how this latest proposal from Iran can be taken as an effort towards a timely peaceful settlement.

I think the Iranian people are a lot less enamored with their leadership than you think.

They've executed 40,000 people so far this year for anti-government activities. You don't get that in a system where the people back the leadership.

So, I really don't think the Iranian *people* will resist anything but their own government. We kill another Ayatollah and they'll have another party.

As for "it hasn't been successful yet", you can say that about the Russians in Ukraine after several years, but you can't say that here after only a couple months.

If we're still playing this game in the fall you might have a point, but it's really dishonest to try to claim it's failed at this early point.
