Don't you hate it when a turd just keeps hanging? Then when you think it is going down it just pops up again.

The best way to proceed is to wipe it out and get back to doing things that matter.
Somehow gas pricing has become the measure of freedom and all things Trump to some here lately.
Stop effing around DJT and finish the job!

If you wanted to send a message, go in get it done get out.
Not like west and Israel didn't know where everyone was.
In, off with the leaders, move down the line till it is safe to help the populous take over.
Back to how politicians do things any money in the deal should go to aid the people not any leaders.
But, we know how this works and the politicians will drag it out to make money off it; again.

There's only one correct answer when it comes to dealing with the Iranian leadership.
At this point this stuff isn't exactly rocket science, duh.

Either President Trump isn't listening to his advisers, or he needs new advisers.

Maybe if he hadn’t promised to get gas under $2/gallon on the campaign trail (Aug, ‘24) people wouldn’t be upset with him,

The Iranian leadership is calling President Trump's bluff. He's going to blink and then fold and come home with all our military equipment with their tails between their legs so to speak. When what he should be doing is ordering the military to bomb bridges and power plants daily.

I am greatly disappointed with our President. Fuck the let's make a deal fucking bullshit.
Fuck that, bombs and missiles are the correct answer. Any fair-minded individual knows that.

This is the sort of shit that makes me consider jumping off the Trump train. Enough is enough.
I've had enough of the "art of the deal" aspect, that bullshit gets really old after a while.
Especially in this circumstance.

Things may change (if the IRGC can 1.- find a boat that's left after the previously kept secret covert destruction of IRGC Boats and 2.- find a kamikaze crew who are eager to meet afterlife virgins) but right now the Strait is open.

It's not closed but the IRGC is claiming they just closed it and warned ships to remain at anchor. So far it's idle threats and there are no reports of any Iranian gunboats shutting down traffic.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei after the IRGC annoncement said that the Strait is open in accordance with the MOU, shipping can safely pass and a delegation of Iranian officials will travel to Switzerland today for US-Iran technical talks that are set to begin on Sunday.

From what I heard (coming from an American crew member who just passed the Strait today) there is a heavy US presence and merchant ships have pulled anchor and passed through the Strait.

CENTCOM was boasting about 55 ships passing.

This was not a source for me (nor was the bullshit in the NYT) but this was just updated for public consumption.

If the motivating factor behind the "memorandum" was the desire to keep gas prices low going into the midterms then the trump administration is in trouble. Why would iran go along with this? They will do everything they can to cause trouble. It's almost certain they will do something that guarantees retaliation by the US. Then oil goes up, gas prices go up and trump's polling goes down. I'd like to give trump the benefit of the doubt but I don't see the grand strategy here.

Yeah, I don't know of a consistently reliable media outlet. Too many people shape the truth or present their report in a manner to serve an interest. Some sources lie for their benefit.

In this case I believe the cell phone call from an American who just sailed through the Strait. Nothing to gain or lose by just telling it like it like he saw it.

In this case, it does seem his account aligns more closely with Centcom PR and the Vance interview than the IRGC release or potential clickbait from various media. (Go Figure ... lol)

I have seen reporting during this conflict from multiple media sources that I flat out knew was not true. (Not believe was untrue, I knew was untrue.) I believe some outlets were passing on unverified information to be an early broadcaster, some sources go outrageous for clicks but others broadcast or flagrantly broad ast inormation they knew was inaccurate or false for a selfish or strategic benefit.

Looks like your source sucks. AI determined with 99% confidence the video is fake.

"Yes, this video is confirmed to be an AI-generated fake. Multiple independent fact-checking organizations have analyzed and debunked this exact footage.

Fact-Check Investigations

Misbar's Forensic Analysis:
According to a verification report by Misbar, the footage originates from a TikTok account known as "Naksu-ah", which explicitly specializes in posting synthetic, AI-generated political content.

AI Detection Scans:
Deepfake detection software (including Hive Moderation) flagged the clip with a 99% likelihood of containing synthetic elements.

Visual Glitches (The Giveaway):
Forensics shared by Yahoo News Fact Checks pointed out that the video was likely generated using OpenAI's Sora.

A massive physical glitch occurs in the video:
despite liquid being poured and the flag being set on fire, the fabric of the flag remains completely undamaged and does not burn away.

Watermark Concealment:
The original AI generation watermark in the lower-right quadrant was intentionally masked or covered up by the skull emoji visible on the right sidebar of the screen.

Origin and Context
The video initially went viral on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok. It was distributed maliciously to fabricate a narrative of anti-American actions by the IDF amid ongoing, volatile diplomatic conflicts in the Middle East."

What made you think there was EVER a plan in place? Trump thought he was gonna roll some iron over there and Iran would beg for mercy. After 3 days, when that didn’t happen, he panicked, and it’s been chaos since. Maybe we need a new tariff or an Epstein file dump to freshen up TrumpTV. This reality show sucks donkey balls.
