The Adventures of NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani

In my county I can go to the assessors office web site and look up the owner of any parcel and what they pay.

True. I haven’t looked up if it is a second or weekend home. But you could look at the owners address and figure that out. We have the same.

Regardless, I have issue with “Some” demographics being acceptable to put in print yet others restricted. I’d be more impressed if he was publishing the list of child molesters who missed their court appearance by address or parole meetings, anyone who entered the country illegally and was on assistance, a notice for any Elected Official brought up on charges and what the charges were. This Cherry Picking stuff (like Winchester County publishing the names, addresses, and weapons owned of all registered folks in the system) is BS and violates Fair Treatment as posted in the Federal and State Constitutions and Law.

But, why let facts get in the way.

It's just a list of addresses and names. Same as you'd find in the phone book.

No it isnt. Its a list of people being targeted for not paying enough taxes by a commie libtard who has been screaming about the innequity of the classes, in his mind a list of evil rich people. Doesnt surprise me that you cant see the difference.

Equality, fair treatment? I thought it was the base of his platform. But I believe in happiness and unicorn farts.

Because he is done with the useful idiots.

Use GIS maps .
What the list is for giving robbers, the high value targets that may not have people in occupancy. So a hit list.

You could do that with zillow maps and property transaction records if you wanted to. This is all public record. You can check the public assessor records.

I didn't just dox them, it's all public record.

But the list your commie muslim brother posted was aimed at people he has portrayed as being the enemy of his agenda. Big difference than the random list you posted.

So this information was not public beforehand?

If it was public then you're angry about someone listing public information in public?

Cant make it any clearer, you just refuse to recognize the difference. So when one of your antifa buddies posts the name and address of an ICE agent identifying him as a target for being a fascist, thats okay with you because his name is in the phone book. I'm out, I should know better than to discuss anything with a commie leftist,

Yet another thread destined for my "ignore" list.

The names of ICE agents is not public information. The names of who owns which property is public information.

They aren't even comparable.

It is if he owns a house or is in the phone book. In the antifa example I gave it becomes doxxing when they target them because they are ICE fascists. Your boy mamdani publish select names from the big list you pointed out and condensed it into a smaller list containing select names of people he has said "we are coming after" in his "tax the rich" agenda making them a target to the commie leftist loons.

Yeah, but it doesn't say in the phone book (or in the published list): Mike Smith (ICE Agent) 123 Oak Street 123-456-7890. Nothing was released that links anyone's employment to ICE or otherwise - you're adding in fictitious actions that aren't part of what happened.

Here's what actually happened: 100% of everything published was already available in the public domain. They aren't adding any additional content that wasn't already out there. They are just filtering already existing public information. It's public record of who owns more than one property and the assessment value is also public record.

Also, what makes you think I like Mamdani? My post history is public, I've never said anything flattering about the guy. Heck, if you look in this very thread (this post: The Adventures of NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani ) I'm flat out saying his policies won't make anything better.

My opinion on this has nothing to do with him as a person or politician. Publicly available information is already public. I reject the idea that you can "dox" someone by sharing information that was already 100% public. "Doxing" is releasing private information about someone, not sharing information already in public domain. To "dox" them he would have needed to include information that was not in the public domain and was supposed to remain private, and that didn't happen.

The info that was not in the public domain is the fact the list was condensed and published as a list of people they are going after. He stood outside one their homes and published a video saying "we are coming after you" then put out the list as a list of people they are coming for. So now all his lefty loons are salivating at seeing these people pay a price, and how many of these loons will decide to take their own action against them? Oh, I forgot, in lib world libs dont commit acts of violence. Wake the fuck up. What makes me think you are a commie supporter? Oh, I dont know, maybe the fact that you've been defending him for the last few pages. Reply if you like, but for real this time, I'm done, I do my best to avoid libtards in real life, and I'm finished engaging this one on line.

Well, I wasn't aware he actually went to one of the homes and said, "we are coming after you". If that's the case, then yeah, that's not good at all. I still wouldn't call it doxing, more harassment.

I wasn't defending him. I am rejecting the idea that you can use public information to dox someone. I don't care who does it. It could be Trump releasing information compiled from public records and I'd say that's not doxing either.

The going to someone's home like described definitely seems to cross harassment boundaries though as a public official.

It's the equivalent of taking the old phone book, and running a highlighter over all the ICE agent's entries.

I think compiling public information into a condensed form can constitute doxing.

Just because your name and address are public somewhere, that doesn't mean publishing them as part of a specific list isn't doxing.

OfC, doxing isn't categorically wrong either. The sex offender registry (as problematic as it is) is basically government doxing.

The list shows which people that, yes, are already in the public domain, aren't full time residents. That means their homes are ripe for theft.

This prick never misses an opportunity to offend.

Dude should be charged with treason.

This is much like the release of combined info after Sandy Hook. You’re correct; the names and addresses are out there. Combining them with motivations (ICE, police agencies, gun owners) not only pushes a political agenda but provides the motivation to misuse them.

Imagine this story but in this light; politician after the 2020 election publishes a list of ballot counters, their addresses, and political affiliation.
