Part of the carry is on trails and hiking where I might run into a good sized PA black bear. I believe I'm also allowed to carry a side arm hunting in PA.
For EDC I have a Glock 19 clone and a lcp max for the other kind of wilderness.
Alright gang, I need some help selecting a revolver in .357. I'm trying to not go too insane on price, but I want something that will last/ be reliable. Id like to to have a good bit of pop, but still be carryable, perhaps even concealed in winter. That means I'm probably looking at a 4-5"...
They mate up nicely? I really appreciate the feedback.
Every time I look at my aero 16" I filed the threads off of to comply with NY, I just get disgusted, especially when I look at it compared to my intact PSA Gen 3 ar10.
Eh.
I've had/have over 9 PSA brand firearms. Never had to send one back.
I have had to send back a Mossberg, a smith and Wesson, and a savage. I also had a JM Marlin with ejection issues that I had to have a gunsmith fix
Gen 2 W/enhanced buffer tube. I can't find the buffer tube hardware at the moment, but I'm willing to dig. Worse case you need to buy a little hardware.
Id like $95 shipped. The cheek riser alone is $20.
Shipping from pa. PREFER MO but pp fam and friends ok too.
All Prices do not include shipping. On the smaller items I need to FTF or combined items to make it worth it. I can meet up In Broome/Chenango county area.
"Tru Glo" micro dot mount. This is the same at the holosun/primary Arms micro dots. $10
Ruger mini-14 Warne rings. These are some of...
I just cant get my eyes to like these. I mounted it on a rifle, but it was never fired or even taken outside. This is like new-open box. As you can see, right down to the included thread locker.
Id like $140 shipped in the lower 48. Ships from PA. PREFER MO. paypal friends and fam is okay.
I don't even think a Henry will be as nicely made as a JM.
The remlin though, you can let that go and get a Henry.
Do you have to maintain state compliance?
Hard sell for me in PA now. I'd just do a .300 upper ,or get a Ruger ranch in .300. still pretty looking. I just don't feel like Henry's have the same quality as the old marlin rifles have.
I thought about one, but then once I moved the ar10 just seemed a lot less expensive.
I got it's a-team distant relative the mini-14, which I like a lot.
I've had warne, Burris, weaver, Leupold, Bushnell, larue, seekins, TPS, etc.
Do yourself a favor. If you have the money go with TPS. Your choice if aluminum or steel. They are heads above the rest in precision. Seekins are probably just as nice, but heavier.
Warne is okay, but TPS is just...
Sorry to disappoint, but for immediate protection I went inexpensive and fool proof. I'll do more research and get something better in awhile.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Ill definitely take a look.
I hate to disappoint, but I think for right now I'm going to go with small, simple, keyed box. I just need to keep toddler fingers away.
Night stand one will have keys very nearby.
I'll have to dig into this subject more. I actually have a key safe with our docs in it now that could work. I also have a book safe, but that only fits one.
Mid Torque impact wrench with (1) 4 amp high output battery and charger. $110 (New retail is $220) 600 ft lbs break away.
Ryobi 3/8 impact wrench. Bare tool is $100 new. Asking $45. I think it was 200 ft lbs. I've taken lugs off with it before.
Ryobi 3/8 rachet, bare tool. $30. Capped at 30...
So I never thought I'd see this day, but these have been getting rave reviews. Apparently they are very powerful in their respective categories.
Rated at 350 ft lbs for the compact and 900 for the high torque.
Yeah I was blessed. Those gear wrench wrenches are actually 6 point.
I didn't need another socket set, but it's bigger than the one I keep in the truck so I'll swap it out
Got my son this. He loves it when I lift weights
Thordsen at one point was making ak stocks. An AK complaint looks like miserable kit however. Aks in general in the USA have t gotten out of control price wise.
I owned 3. Two saiga's and a vepr. The best you'll ever get is about 2moa even out of vepr. They were 100% reliable however...
I mean I need a house pistol, a garage pistol, a carry pistol, and always a back up.
2 out of 3 right now already take Glock mags, so if the Ruger performs well, I'm not 100% against picking one up. Esp if that price comes down around $350
The swappable fcg is a moot point if they don't release other frames. Right now, there is only one size available.
I have an open mind. I like that it comes with steel and tritium sights. If they release a 19x size I'm game to consider one. (I like having multiple pistols but only 1...
In fairness, my dagger is a sample size of one but....
I've put 500 rounds through it without a single issue, cleaning, or even lubrication. I wanted to treat it badly to make sure it was reliable.
Also I own 4 rugers and haven't really had issues with them save the OEM ten round magazine...
Here's the thing...
My first dagger was $330. I decided I wanted a 19x sized frame. It was $50.
My investment is still less than the cost of the Ruger.
Generally speaking, I feel okay with the lcp max and one spare mag.
I always carry a knife. I still work in NY, so I carry a very large knife and pepper spray
I was lazy today and just took the lcp max. Just put my spare in the other pocket. Not very tacitcool but hey, I carried all day
I should have worn the 19x clone haha. I wore a coat the entire time.
