I spoke to the Westchester County Clerk's office on Tuesday. She said although the office is still closed for walk ins some judges are working and are signing handgun permit amendments.

@Emkay44, the pistol range is $11 an hour if you don't have a Westchester park pass. You can stay as long as you like as long as no-one is waiting. Target changes are about every half hour, they supply you with an NRA B-8 type target. If you have any of your own you can put them up over theirs.

@misunderestimated, I only use belt loop attachments for my holsters and mag pouches. Blade-tech and Comp-tac make good stuff for competition. I have a few of their products.

I'm at a range once a week. I try to train either once or twice a month. The other weeks I practice reinforcing the skills I've learned while training. As you all know shooting is a perishable skill. I've had a M&P 40, I shot it with great success. My son has a M&P 40 2.0 and M&P 40C 2.0. He shoots them well. DO NOT BUY a M&P Shield in 40. A very hard gun to manage recoil.
