The old Rugers were nice, 44 mag semi sounds like a blast. But I'm thinking something new. And there is definitely a following for the side loaders, but for me not an issue. And Remlins, I don't know, the whole deal with Remington and Marlin puts me off, maybe unfairly. I did handle an...
Ah, Christmas is coming, and visions of ....
Anyway. Thinking of a rifle chambered in 44 mag and have pretty much boiled things down to a Henry lever, or the Ruger bolt. Any body have any experience with the Ruger 77/44? It seems to have fair regard, may be a little quirky, but any reason...
Welcome to the forum. Historically, VT was considered part of NY (foggy memory...), so things come full circle. I understand it's not tax friendly for seniors; I'll say this though, great views of the Adirondacks.
I see in the news that the Albany CBS affiliate, WRGB, is not going to carry the debate, such as it is. I'm a bit bummed...I was looking forward to FUAC maybe taking a couple of hits...
FUKG
FUCS
FUAC
Boy, if the Kav debacle doesn't caused some light bulbs to get lit nothing will. These three represent the worst, except for what can be found in Kalifornia.
I agree. Similar impression, we were watching a giggling 15 year old girl. Educated idiot. The only reality this woman has experienced is between her ears and not in this dimension. A fucking doorstop used by the ten fascist brown shirts who sit on that committee.
Given the number of lawn signs in my area, Molinaro seems to have local support. And over the years, given what we face from the left I've basically become a Republican partisan. I will vote straight Republican even as I hold my nose. The state party is weak and can't, or won't, field...

His campaign should reimburse the agencies and fines levied.
Well well well, who'da thunk it? ACLU supporting NRA lawsuit, I love it.
Cuomo does not give a shit about anyone's rights be they individual or corporate. In his delusional reality, only he is the absolute almighty and the serfs and peasants must comply or be banished.
FUAC POS
I built my front loader from a kit and had to do the metal finishing. I ended up using Oxpho from Brownell's. I remember heating the parts up with a propane torch and swabbing on the stuff. Went through two small bottles of it, and lastly heated again and soaked the parts with motor...
I can well imagine any of the gun specific cleaning/lube/fouling products having adverse affect on wood finishes. I found out that one person once complained that one of my refinish jobs didn't hold up routinely wiped down his stocks with #9.
Thanks for the link. I learned on bore butter, but I think I'll give the mink oil a try. I like a "one product does all" approach, stuff starts to accumulate...looking for a rod anyway, Track of the Wolf is pretty good.
Molinaro? I'm not feeling the vibe yet. I was an Astorino supporter, but NJ Christy (governor's association) screwed him by holding back campaign funds. I still wonder if he could have stuffed FUAC had that money been available. I point my finger at the NYS Republican Party.
Nixon. Can you...
Hog weed and wild parsnip are bad news and anybody who may come in contact with either should learn to recognize both. Yes, there are other plants that are safe that look similar...best to avoid altogether. Interesting that the wild parsnip is the same parsnip in the grocery store.
I've wondered about this stuff for awhile after learning it is an ingredient in moosemilk, a patch lube for muzzleloaders. Anybody use it for that purpose?
I've two holster/belt combos, one from Tucker and the other Galco. Both serious leather. Both are double thick and very comfortable, they will hold up anything. In fact, they are so heavy either one would qualify as a weapon. Not cheap, but I think worth the money.
