I've heard from a few people that they much prefer the Taurus to Glock's 22LR. Glad you're enjoying yours! Definitely want to add a semi-auto 22 pistol to my collection. The Ruger Mark or Browning Buckmark are on my list if I go for a target style or the Taurus or S&W M&P if I go polymer.
Black powder and its substitutes' measures are generally provided by volume, not weight, so if you think that charge was provided by weight, I would check your source to be 100% sure. I never used Blackhorn, but it seems unlikely that it would be published by weight.
That said, if I prefered to...
If you want to break the magazine's spring in, you'll be waiting a long time just leaving it compressed. Better to work it by loading/unloading it repeatedly or otherwise pushing down on the follower repeatedly. Or maybe get a mag loader for it.
"Thousands of Afghans seek refuge..." Well maybe if they fought for the society they wanted, they wouldn't be seeking refuge in the capital. Do they think the Taliban won't follow? Guess the Taliban wants it more. Let them have Afghanistan. Why are we still there? We killed Bin Laden 10 years...
After Pod's good review I bought 500 rds of Aguila Super Extra .22 for $77, shipped. Ordered Sunday afternoon and got it today. Another satisfied customer.
You're right. I'm just saying on the basis that some business manager gets in their head that 1.5 stack, striker-fired 9mms are "so hot right now" that they need to break into that market.
Now that'll get you real good at clearing stoppages.
The French people have a very strong culture of taking to the streets when the government pisses them off. Americans tend to seethe quietly instead. Hell, compare the U.S. vs French Revolutions. The U.S. Revolution was downright polite and organized compared with the raucous bloothbath with...
I like the S&W 642 for pocket carry. You can load it up or buy loads much hotter than .380 ACP. And I like a revolver better than an autoloader for pocket carry. I prefer an autoloader in the waist holster, but a revolver if it's going in the pocket.
And to the people talking about how banning handguns is a new thing, it's been in the Dem playbook forever. The NFA originally would've included handguns. I remember an old episode of All in the Family where a TV broadcast shows some Dem newscaster talking about how all handguns ought to be...

The fact is, I don't think it's worth sweating it too much as long as you get a reputable one like any of the ones Edwardteach mentioned. I went with Federal HSTs when I...
Some cool ones like the Coin or Connect 4 targets, but those are easy to find online and print out. As for the others... Yea, nah, that's some bad juju
Yea, but if you manage to remember it's Veteran's Day, remember the places that offer it, and can get over the awkwardness of asking if the specific restaurant is participating in it, there's free food in it for you. So maybe a quarter-step above President's Day.
Awesome call. The 507K is also on sale for $260+shipping, no tax. Scooped one up for my carry pistol. Works directly on the Sig P365, but I saw a rep interview saying it needs modification to fit a SA Hellcat or Walther PPS cut for the RMSc.
Thanks for the recc! I forgot about these wedges til I stumbled on the bookmarked link recently. Just got them this week. Carried a couple of handguns in 3 different holsters, each with a wedge on it – makes a huge difference, AIWB is the biggest difference, making it more comfortable and better...
Yea, it's pretty similar to .300 Blackout, with only a few hundred (200-300 depending on load and barrel length) fps more oomph. I wouldn't consider a scope a waste if you prefer a scope to a red dot. I'd say a lower powered one like 1-6x magnification or a fixed 4x would be plenty. Great...
For sale is a used Pietta-made reproduction of a Remington New Model Army (1858) revolver. This is a percussion cap, black powder revolver with a spare black powder cylinder and a Taylor's conversion cylinder in .45 Colt (aka Long Colt/.45LC) which allows it to shoot cowboy-level .45 Colt loads...
Looks like a great system. I love the idea of a carry system not being tied to what you're wearing. Is it AIWB only? Based on the picture of the chick in yoga pants, I don't see what prevents this from being turned in either direction for use in other positions.
If they win, then yea, Sig'll probably go after Ruger and SW. But they'll probably expect the two to reach agreements with them rather than going through full-blown lawsuits. That'll all depend on the result of their suit against Springfield.
I've read several times from various sources that Jim Cirillo from the NYPD Stakeout Squad preferred full wadcutters for their more lethal effect. Having talked to a couple older NYPD detectives, they confirmed that they preferred to carry the full wadcutters in their .38 snubbies over the...
Interesting case. I'm not a lawyer, but from a previous job, I do know a good deal about how patents work. Sig's patents are basically for a magazine that goes from a single-stack to a double-stack with a taper, where the single stack portion holds at least 2 rounds before hitting the taper...
I don't know many Dem-voting hunters, including all the Fudds. I can think of one, and he's young and wouldn't stop voting Democrat if they completely banned guns and told him he couldn't hunt at all.
I wouldn't hold my breath on either that the SCOTUS will rule in favor of the 2A or that NYC will actually follow the law instead of just arresting you and making you defend yourself in court later.
It happens, but in your reasoning, you'd have to convince an anti-gun judge why you "need" full carry more than the "average" person. If you think you can do that, then you might get it. Unless the judge woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning. That's the shitty part of a completely...
I'm glad the perception seems to be changing in the Black and Hispanic communities. My generation and the one younger than me seem to be buying guns and seeing gun ownership as a responsible, lawful, and fun activity that's necessary for its own sake instead of for some specific reason. In my...
Excommunication isn't really kicking someone out of the church. It's a punishment for people who've committed an action extremely contrary to the church's beliefs by denying them access to rituals. It doesn't prevent or rule out the person's reconciling later. I don't know if there's any...
