If he brought in a gun to scare a store clerk over a dollar then I agree he is really dumb. People that are hot headed and make impulsive decisions definitely don’t make good gun owners.
The whole mentally ill people shouldn’t own guns argument (while I agree) is a super slippery slope..I fear...
My grandmother is getting up there in age and her health is failing so at some point I thought it would be nice to add a gun to my collection that was made in her birth year (1933)
Any suggestions? Pistol, revolver, rifle, shotgun are all fair game. My first thought was maybe a colt detective...
Howdy, yes I’m the same guy from the old forum. I was a member of SaraSpa but wasn’t using the club after I moved so I let the membership lapse. I would love to rejoin if you have an opening. I will send you a PM.
Thanks
‘I Have to Be Able to Protect My Kids.’ This Superintendent Became a Cop So She Could Carry a Gun at School
For the first time in her 20 years as an educator, Julie Kraemer carried a gun to school last week. It marked the culmination of nine months of police academy training for the...
Interesting quick read
Invented by Hugo Borchardt in 1893, the Borchardt C-93 pistol was the first semiautomatic pistol to make it into large-scale production. The pistol used a toggle lock system, which meant that when the gun fired, a two-piece arm rose and flexed as the gun recoiled, thus...
I know someone who carries 3 tourniquets on him at all times, 2 guns, 3 knives, 2 flashlights, a multi tool and god knows what else. I think it gets to a point where enough is enough.
I’m not saying felony specifically for bringing your guns to another state, I just mean why I’m careful of nys gun laws in general and look them up or ask around if I’m unsure.
Unfortunately with the political climate the way it is in ny and the complete disregard for the second amendment everyone needs to be careful otherwise they may end up with a felony.:banghead:
Edit: :fuac:
I bought my wife moccasins from LLBean, a gift card to Sephora and (3) triple wick candles from bath & body works. Guess which one of our significant others is probably more high maintenance lol
I used to sell them, just haven’t had time to restore anything recently. I’m a collector too though, I have a bunch of $300+ handcrafted pipes from US pipemakers which I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of. Surprisingly though some of the best smoking pipes I have had have been estate pipes I...
Hahaha that’s amazing, totally didn’t notice that...amateur hour over here . It’s not reassembled, I slid the stock on just for a quick picture before it went back to the bench to be stripped again.
Haha I do, I have an hk ups 9mm which is one of my favorite pistols but I’m 100% not a HK fanboy so I was tired of the username. The money pit better showcases where I’m at with the hobby :)
EDIT: I decided to ditch the dark stain and go with a lighter finish, See updated pics below. I am very happy with how it turned out!
Nothing crazy here but I had an old single-shot 16g shotgun in the safe (dated between 1938-1943) which was in desperate need of attention. The gun itself is...
This article is from July so I may be late to the party...has this been discussed?

I wonder if him saying this will make ISIS pissed off and escalate the possibility of another attack? Either way I’m glad our troops are coming home...I’d say everybody should just have a heightened sense of awareness when in public just in case shit goes down.
Anyone here a member?
If so I’m curious if you like it?
I am from the Albany area (closer to Schenectady) and looking for a club taking new members.
If anyone has any info on that one or another possibility please let me know.
Thanks
If it comes to a point where I don’t think I can adequately protect myself and my loved ones while staying within the lines of the law I will be forced to take my family/tax dollars and move somewhere else. I will not allow myself or my loved ones to be a victim.
I’m done jumping through their bullshit hoops. Years back I spent probably $500 on Preban mags only to give them to a friend after safe act passed because I didn’t want to be a criminal. Now I have permanently fixed mag semi autos requiring side loading and I’ve had to spend hundreds more to get...
the thread the other day about the guy who had police show up at his house after his son made some comments at school about their poor security got me thinking.
Does anyone know the laws surrounding that in nys, what your rights are and how you should handle the encounter?
The scenario is...
Looking to buy a complete upper chambered in 5.56, low round count or new.
I already have a bcg and charging handle so I can buy with it without.
I want something that is good quality, that will be reliable, and accurate. I was looking at new BCM uppers but wanted to see if anyone had anything...
I thought the movie could have been better but I’d be shocked if they don’t turn it into a series with a bunch of end of days scenarios.
I definitely enjoyed this thread and reading the areas people found weird or unrealistic.
One Part i thought was goofy was the guy who helped his wife...
Another piece of bullshit fake news I’ve heard twice in the last 24 hours was that ar15 are not good for anything other than killing people and they are not even good for hunting because the bullet “just tears apart the meat”
A Glock 43 with a raven concealment trigger guard for pocket carry has been great for me. I use an empty old leather bifold wallet in the pocket to alleviate any concerns of printing.
