I don’t own a 43 but have shot them several times it a great pistol!! I do own a g26 and believe it’s the best ccw pistol because it has the max capacity FUAC in the smallest package.

I know that the OP stated under 1k, but if a 1911 addict imo quality trumps quantity. Look at a Dan Wesson, they start around $1300 but well worth it. Spending more than the Dan Wesson starts to become diminishing returns, again imo.

Agreed, the language needs to be done carefully. They want to ban the stocks and cranks that is where the language needs to end. Hopefully the NRA steps in to make sure that anyone with a fast finger is left alone.

If you willing to change out the rebound spring yourself I would highly recommend it. If you dont like it you can always change back, just be thoughtful of the positive reset. I found it helped accuracy across the board but especially when shooting fast.

I have a ankle holster for a 26 and it works but is on the heavy side. It is more comfortable than I thought it would be. The LCP I will forget its there.

I would replace the trigger return spring first. You may be happy with the results with just that. If you lighten the main spring you risk the chance of getting light strikes. Wolff springs sells 5 spring kits and they are not hard to change, plenty of youtube vids to help.
