IMO the j-frame is still a viable carry gun. On paper 5 rounds is not a lot by any means, but probably enough to get out of a tight spot. The small revolver fits in pants pockets well. A big plus is that it can be carried in a coat pocket without a holster (I hear the flames coming now). The...
No one can quantify the investment in actual numbers, and that is the hard part. I believe the Apollo project had a return much greater than its cost when you look at the technology that came out of it. This video highlights some of the importances of these programs
Yes,Yes Yes...
These programs should not be viewed as an handout, they are an investment. The benefits are numerous and unfortunately not known or understood. Our country wasn't just the leader in technology, we invented the technology and now falling behind.

Had a great night at the range with it. It shoots great!!! I couldn't find my rebound springs to soften up the double action trigger a little, but still shot it well in double action. I am going to enjoy this revolver a lot!!
Ive been a revolver fan ever since but only have a jframe, but several pistols. I got the revolver I always wanted and got a great deal to boot. It only has about 200 rounds down the pipe, but that will change fast!!!
Im doing OK with 68 grain bullets in my 1:9 twist, Im new to the bench rifle shooting and reloading. Yet to play with seating depth and my technique is not perfect.
I have a similar rifle Savage VT 11 in 223. I have been loading 68 grain hpbt with varget powder with pretty good results so far. I am about to start playing with seating depth, Its been fun. What part of the state are you In?
I only have access to a range that goes to 200 yards. I would like to try longer range at some point.
I didnt know that there is such a thread, and I have not finished the development yet. I need to measure to the lands and play with the seating depth.
