That sucks. I just harvested spinach today and shows no signs of bolting. It’s in the hot sun too. This is my best spinach year yet.My spinach is bolting and my radishes are getting woody already!!
BeautifulView attachment 284090 Back in the corner of the property amongst the weeds mama's roses still pop up every year.
Broccoli is easy to seed, so easy to just do that. I can’t get heads, but leaves galore.1 outta 6 broccoli transplants died
The seeded broccoli is growing like weeds.
I bought onion sets at tractor supply, about a 50% failure rate on those. Never again from there. It will be onion plants next year
Wife's dent corn for milling is up to 2nd leaf and her dried beans and herbs are ahead of last year.
Pepper transplants are finally getting growing after the shock of being transferred from the greenhouse to the beds
That sucks. Bare root is a gamble. I know that and we will see what happens. Where did you get them from? I’m buying them from a place on Amazon, probably more of a risk, but they have good reviews.I bought some (30) dormant seabreeze everbearing strawberries to try. Planted 25 outdoors- 24 died. Put 5 in hydroponic setup and 1 died, so far.
My sugar snap peas have lots of pods already. Like usual I picked some and they didn’t make it in the house
We’ve been picking strawberries out of the garden like crazy for the last week now! My Granddaughter came up from NC to spend the summer here and she’s been picking and eating them every morning. The berries at the grocery store have been the worst I have ever seen it lately. Rotten and moldy on the store shelves. I’m setting up a strawberry grow operation in my basement. I lm doing 25 seabreeze everbearing day neutral strawberries. Should be enough for me and my family to have a constant supply once they get going.
Mine in my garden died off over this winter and last winter so I got none. Mine were not in a great spot so it’s my fault. I had them there for years and then added things around it. The bushes there are crowding them and it’s not really possible to trim the bushes there. I thought the bushes were full grown, but I guess not. I installed a patio around them and I think the pH is too high for them now. I used to get tons, but they were all June bearing and the slugs ravaged them anyway because the bushes holding moisture. I’d rather just add some in house that are ever bearing at this point so I can have them all year long. It should only be one LED light running so shouldn’t be too much of nothing to keep it going cost wise. We’ve been picking strawberries out of the garden like crazy for the last week now!
