Dry goods , pasta, and canned items are another forgotten “just in case” item.
Well saidThe shutdown i want, is the one where i`m not paying for some other lazy motherfuggers free food, free housing, free healthcare, free car, free cell phone, repeat generations of lazy cultured kocksuckers who refuse to work.
Well, his base (the free-shit army) is going to lose their free shit as of tomorrow. Members of that base that are looking into the cause are finding out that the GOP has been voting repeatedly (14 times now) to get that stuff moving again but Schumer's party has voted 14 times now to keep that from happening. Not a good look for Chucky and co.I just watched a clip on the Ruthless podcast of Schumer speaking.
He appeared to be extremely rattled... I've never seen that with Schumer before.
He also appeared to be extremely frustrated... I've never seen that with Schumer before.
He also appeared to be extremely angry... I've never seen that with Schumer before.
He was extremely short-tempered with the press... I've never seen that with Schumer before.
Schumer wasn't being his usual calculating self that I'm accustomed to seeing from him, maybe because he's in a bad spot and being backed into a corner. Or maybe because, for once, the Republicans aren't caving as usual. IDK, but Schumer is definitely off his game from what I just watched.
there isn't any pay for Annual leave, Sick leave, or time off awards: NO Pay, means no monies for anything will be deposited...best you can do is go, but be ready to come back as soon as called.Read an article about why there's a shortage of labor for some positions like that during a shutdown, even when most are working.
If they take vacation time during a shutdown, when the shutdown is over it's counted as "furlough" not against their vacation time. But they get the back pay all the same.
So, there's a very strong incentive for all of them to take as much of their saved vacation time as they can, because when it's all done they get it all back.
Truth is THEY'RE "The Kings" as they have excluded themselves from the Laws, Standards, Regulations, and Restraints they have foisted upon us their supposed BossesWhen they cave (and they will), Chuck U Shumer will save face by throwing under the bus those that he "allowed" to cross the proverbial line in the sand. That way he will have a fighting chance at keeping his "job".
BTW... It has been bugging the shit out of me (or was that just the cleanse before my recent colonoscopy?)…Why the fug is congress still collecting a paycheck? I had to look it up! Turns out it's in the Constitution (kind of)…
Article I, Section 6 of the Constitution states: "The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States." This one says nothing about frequency or timing of compensation, only that they will be comped.
And then there is the 27th Amendment (ratified 1992)… "No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened." This one was supposed to prevent congress from giving themselves a raise, and also interpreted to mean no cut in pay either.
I call BS on both interpretations! Dock their pay and fine them as if they were gov't contractors late on a contract, maybe $1000/day for each member!
Make it a "Cottonmouth" everybody hates those swamp dwelling fuckers.
There is no extra pay for it, but if you take that time off during the shutdown it doesn't get debited against your time off.there isn't any pay for Annual leave, Sick leave, or time off awards: NO Pay, means no monies for anything will be deposited...best you can do is go, but be ready to come back as soon as called.
He's also used to the media covering his ass, and while they aren't exactly holding his feet to the fire, they aren't quite lying with their usual level of enthusiasm.Well, his base (the free-shit army) is going to lose their free shit as of tomorrow. Right, if you're laid off they can't charge Leave against you, so you might as well use the time to your advantage, and when things reopen you'll get paid as though you were still working...the "essential personnel" that have to come in anyways are the ones that get shafted, at least when they'd tag one of us we did. There is no extra pay for it, but if you take that time off during the shutdown it doesn't get debited against your time off.
So, if you took a week off in September, it cost you a week of time off. If you take it in October it doesn't.
same way I do coming from the "Green Swamp" of Central Florida.I was born and raised in and around the rural swamps of South Carolina, and you're not wrong.
Ask me how I know.

I've seen occasional snippets of actual journalism sneak through on CNN lately.
Without the 24/7 propaganda spigot running full blast covering for them, the insanity of the democrat policies is becoming more and more apparent to more and more people.
