Ok, let’s take it a step further. There's a reason bank robbers cover their faces...
I like this law. If you are a public servant you should be identifiable and visible to the public. Full stop. Don't like it? Then don't be in public service.
You support officers being masked?Who cares. Let her try and arrest them, she won’t. They will still wear masks. ICE Will write it in that it’s a safety measure for their officers.
You support officers, and their families, being butchered just for following the law and doing their job?You support officers being masked?
Once all unhinged leftist bystanders that dox, threaten, and terrorize law enforcement officers from the background are arrested and stopped, I'll support unmasking federal officers. There's a reason bank robbers cover their faces...

Until they actually prosecute the people openly threatening them, yea.You support officers being masked?
Sounds like fantasy and a convenient excuse. Have I missed a bunch of officers and their families being butchered? You support officers, and their families, being butchered just for following the law and doing their job?
A sober and reasonable post. Almost a rarity around these parts.I dont think agents of the .gov should be masked, i think people that dox need to to be charged with crimes, and severe ones if crimes are committed against people who get doxxed.
I cant stand seeing people wearing face coverings in public, but i dont think there should be a law against it for private citizens. It should be a policy for .gov employees that they cannot wear masks unless medically necessary.
Check, please.Law enforcement is dangerous, this is nothing new. Take it or leave it.

I'm 50/50 with you on this. I'm with you that I don't think .gov employees (by which I mean, law enforcement) should be masked. But I don't think doxxing should be a crime. Connecting the dots on publicly available information (doxxing) is protected speech. Performing criminal acts based on that information, or encouraging others to do so, is not.I dont think agents of the .gov should be masked, i think people that dox need to to be charged with crimes, and severe ones if crimes are committed against people who get doxxed.

You know what, thats a good point. I should have thought about it better. All of our info is public and so should gov employees. People harrassing, threatening, or committing any crimes with that info is a different story. So, Im in agreement with you. We cannot allow the erosion of our rights even if it benefits us in the moment.I'm 50/50 with you on this. We need to be very, very cautious when considering support for the erosion of any of our rights.
