I dont think agents of the .gov should be masked, i think people that dox need to to be charged with crimes, and severe ones if crimes are committed against people who get doxxed.

No. You uphold the law and prosecute people that break the law, which in this case is if they are threatening public service people and their families, you hold them accountable for that. You don't face mask your public service people. We all deserve accountability when we interact with public facing government employees. Suspending that isn't fair to you and me. Also, letting people threaten them isn't something we should tolerate either.

I'm 50/50 with you on this. I'm with you that I don't think .gov employees (by which I mean, law enforcement) should be masked. But I don't think doxxing should be a crime. Connecting the dots on publicly available information (doxxing) is protected speech. Performing criminal acts based on that information, or encouraging others to do so, is not.
We need to be very, very cautious when considering support for the erosion of any of our rights.

People harrassing, threatening, or committing any crimes with that info is a different story. So, Im in agreement with you. We cannot allow the erosion of our rights even if it benefits us in the moment.
