WHOOOLY FUCK! I couldn't almost lift it for the picture! Look at the size of lure in comparison! 31" 11.21lbs!! World ass record for me for sure (maybe even for this reservoir...buuuut nah, the record is like 50lbs for a Carp lol) Got damn! It took 5mins of reeling and drag out and reel in.

I had a more monstrous one then that guy for a second yesterday but he jumped and bit through the line I bring 4 poles out with me..2 are
10lb 1 is 8lb one is 6lb. I think he was on the 10lb..eitherway it was a fun fight for me

Whoo hooo. Day one of 10 days vacation..hit the local reservoir before I jump on the airplane tomorrow with kiddos..1st cast and snagged a nice Smallmouth Bass..hopefully it bodes well of my next week

GX2 ugly stick is a bit heavier than I wanted. Medium action. Going to use that braided line that wouldn't work on the other reels. Going for the weeds. Almost bought some 12 pound mono line but figured this would be good enough for now.

Tried all sorts of shit and different presentations.

Still a good time.

This trilene braided sucks. Or I just need to cut ten feet off now and then. Lost a few nice lures just by casting. Knots appeared secure and no issues with the monoline.

Did a little smallmouth bass fishing in the early evening yesterday. We got into them pretty heavy. Must have boated almost 20 / 3-4+ pounders ! I have a couple of videos on my phone but I can't figure out how to download them here.

20 !? I haven't quite 20 anything in the past four months what were you using and what is your water conditions? my reservoirs are pretty high and 80° plus water temperature

Drifting in the river current. Water temp was right at 70* using live bait.
