What would be a good price for a mint condition 686+? It has a 3” barrel, original box and paperwork.
Yup, i know, it sucks. I just bought one a couple months ago brand new for $969. I didn`t like it at all, and looked into getting rid of it for something else, and that was the highest offer i got for mine from several places, brand new, less than 50rds thru it with all the papers and the plastic S&W hard case with it.Wow, that little? New they are going for over $900
Which grips? The stock rubber grips are preferred, the 3-5-7 black grips run small. What would be a good price for a mint condition 686+? It has a 3” barrel, original box and paperwork.
Has the external lock. Both wood grips and rubber. Round count is exactly 7. Has been a safe queen. Model 686-6Gun broker has a few listings for between $650 and 800
Any chance said buyer has the initials S&W??Thanks for all of your input. A member contacted me and it has sold.
NopeAny chance said buyer has the initials S&W??
Unfortunately I had to ( very reluctantly ) let it get away from me. I was sorely tempted though! My gun slush fund is currently depleted due to two lever gun purchases a couple of weeks ago.Any chance said buyer has the initials S&W??
How about a 3" 586 that goes click more than bang?Unfortunately I had to ( very reluctantly ) let it get away from me. I was sorely tempted though! My gun slush fund is currently depleted due to two lever gun purchases a couple of weeks ago.
I’m actually looking for a 3” barreled 686 + with the unfluted cylinder.
Sorry to hear that you’re still having issues with your carry comp. How about a 3" 586 that goes click more than bang?
3rd trip back to the factory now. Let's hope this time is the charm.Sorry to hear that you’re still having issues with your carry comp.
Sadly, S&W ‘s quality control is nothing like it used to be.
I’d be asking them to give you a new one. It’s a revolver so it shouldn’t be that hard.3rd trip back to the factory now. Let's hope this time is the charm.
Indeed. I don't think I could sell such a gun in good conscience so it seems I am stuck with it. If S&W cannot fix it the only other think I can think of is sending it to TK custom to have it inspected and all internals replaced with superior parts. This is extremely expensive however.3rd trip back to the factory now. Let's hope this time is the charm.
