3 million illegals have left the country - 900,000 deportations and the rest left on their own. I'd say that's a damned good start.

The left has made deportations politically difficult with their theatrics. As we saw in Minnesota they want protesters to die to stir up outrage in the media. I personally don't care if they leave via deportation or on their own as long as they leave.

Liberals knew what they were doing.... Bring in millions of un vetted illegals and then declare everyone needs their day in court. to deport. The sheer volume of cases means hardly any get heard. The government currently cannot afford to pay for more than a small fraction of a physical barrier along the U.S.-Mexico border. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on January 25, 2017, directing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to “plan, design and construct a physical wall” or similarly “impassable physical barriers,” such as a fence, along the Southwest border. On February 20, DHS Secretary John Kelly issued a memorandum implementing the president’s executive order, directing the department to immediately start the construction of a wall. Yet, no tangible discussion of funding is included.
Although President Trump maintains authority under the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA) of 1996 and the Secure Fence Act of 2006 to construct a physical barrier along the Southwest border, he does not have the ability to pay for a significant portion of the barrier’s construction. A recent internal DHS report to Secretary Kelly finds that constructing a physical barrier along 1,250 miles of the Southwest border will cost American taxpayers about $21.6 billion, though other estimates put the figure as high as $31.2 billion.

DHS claims 1.9mil left voluntarily through self deportations and 600k at the one year mark… that is PENNIES on the dollar.

Groups like the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) estimate the number of formal removals handled by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be closer to 290,000 during this time period. Deportation Data Project estimates around 350,000 formal deportations.

So hard to say if DHS is being truthful. Unlike previous administrations, the Trump administration has not released deportation data. Instead, the Department of Homeland Security provides updates via press releases.

Section 224 in the House Defense Bill (not yet past the Senate) does not integrate US and Israel militaries. It has a limited scope and impact with some partnerships and reflects some business practices (good or bad) enjoyed with NATO allies

1) It allows some joint development and integration of advanced battlefield systems such as AI, quantum computing, autonomous systems, biotechnology, and cyber warfare partnerships.

2) Similar to NATO the legislation explicitly details "network integration" and "data fusion," permitting potential real-time military data being shared seamlessly between the U.S. Pentagon and the Israel Defense Forces.

3) Again like NATO it moves away from annual State Department-administered foreign aid model towards a Pentagon procurement, co-production, and licensing of weapons on U.S. soil.

The published pushback and concerns of the section 224 issues (putting aside tinfoil hats of generic Israel or Jewish conspiracy theorists) revolve around annual political control .... since section 224 of the Act imbeds part of the U.S.-Israel military relationship in to the bureaucratic defense acquisition process and strips away Executive Branch diplomatic strings (Trump may not be happy with this aspect) and cuts some links to Congressional Branch voted foreign aid checks (Schummer may not be happy with this aspect)

Liberals are bitching that co-producing weapons with Israel in several U.S. States builds a domestic economic dependency and would make the military partnership difficult to politically unwind (Yeah, all rewards have some risk)
