I think there is some truth in there, but I dont think its as bad as they are saying . If it were, the Ukranians would be driving them back along the entire front . Instead the Russians have been taking town after town for the last few weeks. , slow going, but still inching forward.
In my opinion, the Ukrainians are inflicting losses on the Russians on the roads, and in the field between towns, it seems once the Russians enter a town or city it falls shortly there after . I think its due to the lack of infantry required to hold the urban areas
