As for Isreali nukes, they don't threaten to use them on the daily.

In fact, they won't even admit to *having* them.

So, Isreali nukes don't bother me any more than French or British nukes.

It's not that *nobody* is allowed to have them. It's that nobody is allowed to threaten to use them on a regular basis.

Responsible nuclear armed countries basically say "we'll only use them in an existential crisis".

Even India, Pakistan, and China can be trusted not to nuke anyone unless they are at risk of losing their whole country.

But, if Iran got them, how long do you think before they'd start demanding a cut of every gallon of oil pumped in the whole Middle East? How long before Tel Aviv glowed in the dark ?

If some of Iran's most militant clerics ran the show, they would look forward to the final conflict since they are deeply rooted in Twelver Shi'ism and the return of the Mahdi (i.e. the Twelfth Imam).

Iran's cleric leaders believe their government must actively create the conflict and martyrdom that brings the Mahdi's return for the divine era.

So it's logical that either these religious nutcases can never be in charge of WMD or Iran can never have WMD. Sounds like the world should help Iran choose one, or the other, or maybe both.
