Yeah, nearly all the civilian casualties in this conflict war are at the hands of Vlad, and any posts citing RT.com are either flagrant falsehoods, exagerations, or at best partial truths.Hey Vlad the Mad, how many civilians did you murder today?!?!? And for what you fucking dirtbag.

I too have no dog in this race and am not a cheeting fan of either corrupt player. So, serious question. Not making this a political or who's right, who's wrong question.
How much longer can Russia allow their petrochemical industry to be targeted before they are forced to escalate to deescalate?
I haven't posted often in this thread because I don't had a horse in this race, I'm just observing. I can't help but think that Russia has to be nearing the limit of what they can absorb for their oil infrastructure and they simply can't allow it to continue to be destroyed and taken offline the way it has been because of the impact to their economy and the difficulty to repair and replace it.
Seriously, what are the thoughts and opinions here?
This has to be having an enormous negative impact on their economy. You can't hide it or pretend it's not happening.
Does Russia just keep taking it, or do they finally reach a breaking point and escalate to deescalate?

You bring up a good point but Russia's oil / petro income stream is reduced but it is not fully choked off by any means. There are plenty of thirsty customers but there is also wildcards in play with market competitors gaining and losing marketshare with the Gulf, Venezuela, and Cuba activities.
It also appears that their oil production infrastructure has taken hits but by no means has been crippled.
Russia is still well within a margin where their hand is not being forced. Any escalations by Russia now would still be primarily driven by politics or ego rather than for survival. Vlad's ego or power lust, however, will escalate conflicts long before Russia is forced to escalate for economic or military survival.
Vlad is not incompetent, weak, or powerless but he is very damaged goods.I honestly can't decide if I think Vlad is:
Extremely patient
Calculating and strategic
Incompetent
Weak or powerless
I think an argument can be made for any of them. I honestly cannot figure it out.

Most world leaders are a bit narcissistic with inflated self worth and egos (yeah Trump is a narcissist too), but unlike many other leaders, Vlad has less empathy, as a manipulator Vlad is weak on charm relying more on force than threats, and Vlad is quite sociopathic in that he can't feel remorse and can be impulsive / reckless when he gives in to his deviant aggression or ego.
On the plus side Vlad has a strong survival instinct and won't commit any form of suicide but he could pull some dangerous horseshit (because he is surrounded by yes men who can't snap him out of it) since Vlad's ego driven blind side might not process or recognize the consequences of some escalations.
I also think Trump is right in that there is no reason that demands this conflict continues and a deal can be hatched if enough pressure or coercion is applied to "get over the egos" and both parties recognize they are somehow / now better off "getting over it."
If Russia has the ability to "answer it 10 fold", then why the fuck haven't they done that yet ?U.S. is directly responsible for the conflict and the war in Ukraine that rages since 2014. Trump played a part in it as well. He sent Javalines.
Russia is pretty much united in this war with opposition critical of Putin's holding back tactics.
Starobelsk atrocity (confirmed by multi-national team of journalists) was the reason Russia is stepping up its attacks. Whatever industrial damage is inflicted by Ukrainian drone operators, Russia will answer 10-fold.
There are actually American citizens that work for RT. How many Russian citizens work for U.S. media networks?
Funny how Russian state media is more informative than supposedly independent U.S. media that tells fairytales about evil dictators and regimes for the audience of idiots who still believe it.
If Russia has the ability to "answer it 10 fold", then why the fuck haven't they done that yet ?
Is this part of Putins master plan to sacrifice millions of Russians to lull Ukraine into a false sense of confidence ?
