No, no your are truly an equal opportunity basher..
The only thing you seem mot to bas the the RMR...
Now where are the pics of you slide that has been cut????
The 226 Legion is an incredibly nice pistol!!! The slide is alloy and the slide is stainless, so rust shouldnt be a factor. But, no reason for a safe queen finish.
Its kinda crazy that they put a crap finish on a warriors pistol... A couple guys I know love the legion pistols they own but are very disappointed in the finish.
Good call on the torque wrench!!! I guy I know who bought a scope Vortex scope at cabels , when they mounted it they over tightened the rings and it screwed up the scope.
I dont even know where to start with this.... But, imo your 9mm that you carry is plenty capable and by no means you should think you are carrying a caliber that is too weak. So, dont feel that you need to justify your decision to carry 9mm.
I do not agree that I would score the FBI test any...
No it does not... I believe I could meet the FBI qualification with about any pistol or caliber. I guess I am confused how you think you know what I should or shouldnt get.
Sure looks like the compact does have the optic cut. Depending on the way they did it I hope they have a version without the plate system. The Glock MOS is OK at best.
What does the PCC have that your rife doesnt? If you like what you have keep it. The only this I see with the PCC is that it can break down and if that is not important why sell what you have.
Had an opportunity to shoot a G45 tonight:2pistols:
If you like Glocks this is a nice one. With grip being full length and no finger grooves it feels nice, I might shave the grooves on my G34. The new gen5 triggers are nicer imo, but still a Glock. Fired only 2 mags shot it very well, it did...
Yes, really. And here is how, the situation you asked about would make to stupid to try to accomplish the task with a pistol regardless of reasonable caliber. I would take a head shot. I have no clue why you would shoot at the door where you cant see the target when the head is clearly...
Watch it.. I didnt start anything. Just needed to step in and help out since some are numerically and spatially challenged. Also found out found out ADHD is a problem here too.
HST 45s expanded to .85 and in the same test the 9mm HST can in at .65.
For the record the HST 147 grain +p is my 9mm carry load, I dont have a carry load for 45 since I dont carry a 45.
You can cherry pick your stats but in general, but a good expanding 9mm will be about .75 of an inch and a 45 1 inch. The 9mm stars out .1 smaller and .2/.25 smaller after expansion compared to 45. So, the pic posted earlier is not realistic for hollow points. Simple number comparison....
For argument sake the pic is not relevent. A good hollow point can expand by 100% so after the expansion the difference will be even greater. Of course only important if one believes bigger bullets are better.
With that volume I would recommend a Dillon 650. To get set up nice it would be about $1000 and another $250 per caliber you want to load. If your looking to do ultra precision rifle loads a single stage press would be a good idea.
What calibers? what type of shooting? and how many rounds per week or month do you need?
There are a lot of options and depending what you are trying to accomplish will determine what you need to buy. It can get expensive if you need to buy twice....
Usually prepping is for if SHTF in that case the the local gun store wont be open for business. So, the only availability will most likely be what you have. A good supply is great but in the worse circumstance you may not have access to your own stash so having supplies in different locations...
That twist rate would be best with heavier bullets. 68 to 77 grain by the charts. Depending on the type of shooting you do it may not matter much. If you shoot 50 yards offhand it may not matter but 100 yards off the bench it will.
The author is a dink imo. He wants to tell everyone whats best for them.
With all the ammo choices people should educate themselves and make a decision on whats best for them.
Print and shoot. Just make sure you use the correct target and fire the correct amount of rounds as described in the first post in the thread.
Simple and fun!!
IMO you should resize the new brass so you would need the case lube. Many people do not, but I found that every piece of new brass feels different going through the sizing die.
Also, if you are trying to save money by reloading new brass may not help. You might find that the first round you...
I have the same equipment that I use to load 223 for a bolt rifle. I did load pistol with it but it was too slow for the way I shoot so I bought a different press for those calibers.
What you have will give you a good start and allow you to learn to load and determine what of if you need...
Some stages in gun games require one handed weak hand shooting and I hand a hard time finding the dot holding the pistol left hand only, so I looked through the window and used the front sight. It was plenty good for minute of bad guy accuracy so I would not labor over the decision, either...
BTW, are you going to have the rear sight in front or behind the optic? I might consider it in front so the ejected cases dont bounce off the optic not that it is a big deal.
The library is a great resource that is commonly over looked, and its our tax dollars at work.
You might need a library card to log on a computer and they may not allow you to access a gun webpage so if you an download the form and email it to your self. If the down load and email is a problem...
