I got to wonder why anyone would go out of there way to get a a mag that needs to be pinned. Cheaper and easier to get a legal worth the same capacity in the end.
Your 100% on the money with the clarity of the laws. So FUAC.
That said I would be willing to bet the house that a factory 10 round Glock 19 mag would not become a legal problem. But a 15 round mag with a non epoxied bock in it im not so confident.
Your correct there are all sorts of...
By you means am I saying that they are bad. They are a collectors piece with historical significance. I think a new and better pistol can be bought for the same or less money, but its great that they will be available for the guys that want an authentic iconic military pistol.
A friend owns a...
The question I ask myself with this stuff is "is it worth loosing my permit?" To me the answer is no I dont want take any chances with it.
If your worried about the capacity dont break the law instead practice mag changes and and your shooting skills.
I was waiting for that...
Im surprised they offer some j-frames without the lock, and thats what I chose. My 686 has it and doesnt bother me at all. I dont understand why they do it on most of the revolvers and not all the handguns it is that important. I wonder if it makes it legal in some...
Gunblast wonders where you come up with this crazy stuff:ROFL:
Second strike is merely a feature that comes in pistols that are double action, and not a way or style of thinking. I never heard anyone say you need less training with a pistol that has second strike ability even in the 80s...
I dont believe anyone would try to cock while drawing. Yes the mods to the double action make a huge difference. Many of the DA are greater than 10 lbs, the competition peeped ones are are less than 6 lbs. When I changed the spring in my PCR it made a huge difference. When I talked to the...
Nice pistol!!!!!
I have been doing a little USPSA and started with a CZ PCR which is a decocker pistol. I believe a DA/SA pistol needs to be in full hammer down at the start of the stage. The decocker lowers the hammer to half cock. At a local shoot it will likely go unnoticed. On the CZs the...
I have had similar problems when I first started shooting pistol I had no one to help me and developed the bad habits. Shooting lots of bullets is the only real fix.
I can give you on tip that helped me a lot. If your right handed, try to ease up with you right hand and squeeze harder with...
Man you are wound tight... I was busting balls!!
I dont care what you choose to do to your pistols, and dont feel like you need to justify it.
Maybe I will change 71velle to Gun Blast just for you.
I like the gen 5 except for the cut they put in the front of the grip. It may not bother you, but if it so Pearse makes a mag base plate that fills it and makes it real nice. The finger grooves on the gen 4 suck on the 19 imo. The gen5 trigger is nicer too.
I hope your holster is for a gen 5...
A thought on the cost....
Be more worried about getting what you will be happy with and not so much of the cost. The price between the more and less expensive pistols is that all that much. Spending a few extra bucks up front might save you a bunch in the long run.
Sorry, since I am the...
No reason you wont be happy.
It is a little smaller and dont think you will bumpfire it. We passed one around one night at the range and a couple of guys said the trigger was too light for carry. You might loose a little of accuracy with the heavier trigger, but there are plenty of trigger...
Yes, a range buddy carries one. The grip feels great and it shoots great. The only thing about it is the magazine release is on the trigger guard, its not bad just different. The few guys I know that have a pistol with that style release now prefer it. Also the cost of the mags is high I think.
I agree, in a subcompact the recoil of the .40 is a little much for me. A few guys I shot with have hands strong enough to where it is not a problem. They can shoot a g27 as well and as fast as a g26.
Not sure if looking at a test of one load is a good test of power or effectiveness. When looking a test of several loadings in both calibers I notice few things. https://www.luckygunner.com/labs/self-defense-ammo-ballistic-tests/
6 .40 cal loads expand to a larger size than the best 9mm...
In a glock 19 sized pistol or larger the .40 recoil should not be a problem. In the smaller pistols .40 can be too much for many shooters. A bigger bullet is never a bad thing and .40 is more powerful 9mm. The question is what caliber is powerful enough? That is up to the person making the...
Of the choices you have listed I would choose the G19. The XDS9 is well built but I cant warm up it it, and it is heavy.
I think a G19 size will allow you to more quickly develop your skills. It would also be the easiest to sell or trade.
I think the hardest thing about buying a first...
Yes in practical terms but technically not. EAA may have/had some clone CZs but most are a CZ patterned. A cone is a direct copy and the EAAs are not direct copies, for example the safety can be activated on an EAA with the hammer down and a CZ75 can not. The die hard Tanfoglio guys take...
I was lucky to be able to run a box of ammo through a CZ Shadow 2 tonight and WOW!!! This is a pistol designed for competition and I believe its the model the best competitors in the world use, and I understand why. The pistol is heavy so the recoil is almost rimfire light allowing for crazy...
Man you are a hater!! They did listen to their customers, they removed the finger groves, improved the trigger and put a bit of a magwell in. The only crapy thing they did is that stupid cutout in the front of the grip, which Pearce has a fix for Pearce Grips
I dont think the S&W has better...
The G40 handles the recoil well, max loads are stout for sure but manageable. I was able to lay 10 rounds in a good group pretty fast. Its not uncomfortable to shoot imo. I think you will be very happy with your G40. I think the Sig factory is not to watered down for range type stuff. I...
I shot a G40 tonight also, but no pics :(
Lots of good choices for ammo, but a lot of factory stuff is watered down. Save your brass you might want to reload for it.
I think much of the MOS issue is that guys are getting them mounted correctly. Screw length seems to be the issue, which really shouldnt be. If you are smart enough to handle a pistol you should be smart enough to figure out if you are using the right length screws. I see no reason to...
Funny we are all different. The owner of the 365 had no problems with the 365 but dumped his p226 and p220 for legions to eliminate tat poblem. Yes, the sights are great and would not see any reason to change them.
Had a chance ti fire the P365 and it is that good. The grip on it is tiny!!! It shots incredibly soft, trigger is great and I shot it very well. The slide did not lock open a couple of times but that was my grip. The owner has over 600 rounds through it and not one problem and I was the only...
I believe its actually more like a Glock 19x if using the Glock size references. The grip is long it is a 17 round gun in a free state and the slide is more like a 19.
When talking about concealable that is very subjective. Some will say the have no problem concealing a full sized duty gun...
I fired the APX tonight and its a very nice pistol. Feels great and the controls ate well laid out. The tigger is real nice too. The only thing I noted when firing that didnt well dry-firing is that the trigger rebound is soft. Its not bad just different. I fired 40 rounds and it was plenty...
