Somewhat frustrating that they as well as GOA wound up here. I would think this wasn't their first rodeo in court. It appears they could have handled things differently, no?
We will see.
Granted this is just NY. California is less than 60 days until the federal court shuts down their AWB a 2nd time.
Maryland AWB is also on its last leg before being destroyed..
The two towns in Colorado are already taking L's.
Does this suck. Absolutely, is it the end like most on this forum want everyone else to believe, nope.

Maybe, but I'd rather play the long game and win, if that means nothing changes for me, but my children are guaranteed their rights, and my grandchildren, well thats still a win for me.
I'm not selfish, I'd love to be able to own whatever I want, and hopefully I can, and do so at a point I can enjoy it.. but if not so be it, as long as in the end the win still happens

I hope that my kids watch the political wranglings and illicit un-American machinations in New York politics from another state. Hopefully, one where the U.S. Constitution is still the law of the land.
Still thinking about the dismissal for lack of standing. The second video said because the plaintiff didn't declare he was going to violate the law that's why the judge dismissed it. I'm not a lawyer but that seems like an awfully minor point on which to dismiss the case. Something doesn't add up.

why they had no standing .. i think is because the law they were fighting was not in effect yet and some other issues

It's ironic, isn't it. We live in the state that took this to the Supreme Court and succeeded. Yet we are the only state in worse shape than before the ruling.
Again... A law enacted UNCONSTITUTIONAL, isn't a law!
So what if NY enacted a law ridiculously requiring you to be 5th Generation US Citizen in order to have 2A Rights? Or that only those citizens who's families were actually here when the US Constitution was enacted as having Rights... Etc., Etc. Or maybe even go back a few decades and remove a Woman's Right to Vote, or even Black's!? Would that be ok? Would the Judge have to wait until an election in order for those challenging the law and be denied to have standing? Of course not, because the election would be changed by their not being able to vote but be told next time would be ok...
So again, here we have a 2 step process in place whereas the 2A Right(s) decision is treated differently! Utter ridiculousness!
