I believe this will best fit in this thread without making a new one...
It has not gained much attention yet but it looks like in the UK, The US air Force has a large deployment for forces including bombers at RAF Fairford.
Just this weekend there was a major incident outside the base and rumors are that there were 3 vehicle bombs that were intercepted just in time before terrorists attacked the base.
This story is worth keeping an eye on. The speculation is that it was some sort of Iranian sympathetic group. Details are sketchy.

Oil prices aren't that high. $93/bbl isn't unheard of. It's actually well within the "normal" range.
So, why are prices at the pump so high ?
It's a Global market. Obviously a barrel of oil isnt the sole indicator as we have had alot higher. Refineries are getting blown up all over the world. The straights are being choked and then there are speculators that have an impact on futures. Basically we touched off an energy crisis.

Iran's regime has lost control of the Strait of Hormuz. Why? Because oil exports in the Middle East are now back to about 94%. This is a moving target, yes, but it is what the data tells us right now

Except that the oil price here *is* what our refineries are paying.
And we're not shipping refined diesel to Russia or Saudi Arabia to make up for their refineries being offline.
And nobody has blown up *our* refineries.
And the oil futures aren't out of whack either.
So, where are the high prices at the US pump coming from ?

… WAIT FOR IT…
NORTH KOREA…

So, you're saying the high gas prices are engineered by the Democrats to make you pissed off at Republicans so you'll stay home in November?
Reminds me of the Covid lock down strategy that got us 4 years of Biden.
But, sure, don't vote for the Republicans because they're not perfect. I'm sure that will work out fine.

This Straight is filled with peace and love. His name is George. Only thing choking him is when he takes too big of a bite of freedom ever’ now and then. Once in a while a Hallmark movie catches ‘hold of him just right, but he don’t talk about that.
The Strait of Hormuz, with no G, on the other hand, is not full of anything such like. It’s full o’ idling tankers, mines, and the American Navy.
